Champions League Tips
Wednesday 12 March
Arsenal v PSV - PSV first to score
As far as Champions League ties go, this is as about as close to a dead rubber as you can imagine given the one-sided nature of the first leg.
Arsenal smashed SEVEN, yes, SEVEN goals past a hapless PSV in Eindhoven last week, and it was the first time in the competition’s history that an away team had managed that feat in the knockout stages.
Mikel Arteta’s side may have been hampered by injuries over the past couple of months, not least to Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz, but he is likely to make wholesale changes for this leg. The reserves can expect a run out and give them a chance to prove themselves on a big stage.
PSV surely can’t be as bad as they were, and they will be hoping to salvage some pride as the damage has already been done.
This game is unlikely to contain too much drama, but I think PSV could give their supporters something to celebrate at least by breaking the deadlock which would give Arsenal a wake-up call.
Aston Villa v Club Brugge - Over 7.5 corners
Club Brugge have generally impressed me in Europe this term, and they are arguably one of the surprise packages.
That said, they weren’t at the races against Villa last week, crashing to a 3-1 defeat with Marco Asensio, who has hit a purple patch of late, rounding off the scoring from the penalty spot.
The way Villa blitzed past Brugge will have pleased Unai Emery, whose charges looked like they were heading for a 1-1 draw until a late flurry of goals (two in 10 minutes) swept aside their plucky Belgian opponents.
Villa have generally been formidable at home this term, and they have lost just two of their 23 games at Villa Park this season. They are also unbeaten in their past 15 outings there.
While Brugge will be looking to emulate the 3-1 win over Atalanta last month which defied the odds, it could be a tough ask to repeat that feat.
Anyway, I’m drawn to the Corners line for this encounter. The previous clash saw four corners awarded, but this time, I’m drawn to the corners market, and there to be Over 7.5 corners during the 90 minutes.
Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid - Total Goals Over 2.5
A pan-Spanish tie usually sets the pulse racing, even more so when it is a Madrid Derby. The first leg was full of fireworks, but Real have an advantage, albeit a slender one after a 2-1 win at the Bernabeu.
Brahim Diaz produced something magical to swing things in Real’s favour, but Diego Simeone’s Atletico are usually well drilled and they make themselves difficult to break down.
Real will have to contain Julian Alvarez, who found the target last week, and the former Manchester City striker is a livewire.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men had seven more shots than Atletico last week, and they also completed more passes (603) underlining the impact they made during the 90 minutes.
I don’t think they will have it all their own way in the Riyad Air Metropolitano, and clashes between these two sides have often been tight over the years. The first leg saw the Over 2.5 goals line, and I’ve got a predilection that the Over 2.5 goals line could be fulfilled once again.

Champions League Tips - Weekly Predictions from Freebets
The Champions League is the highest level of European football, with the elite from the club game battling it out for the continent's most coveted trophy, which makes Champions League betting a huge part of the industry.

This is where our team of Champions League tipsters comes in, because we will scour the market for the best odds, enhanced offers and tips to inform our Champions League football tips and give you the best chance of finding a winner - which is what we all care about!
Champions League Betting
If you're here, you probably know all about the UEFA Champions League and its prestige, but how does that translate into Champions League betting and providing predictions?
Well, let's start at the beginning with the new format and how that affects our betting tips.
UEFA made the decision this season to increase the number of teams entering the tournament from 32 to 36, which means an increase in the number of matches from 125 to 189 - plenty of opportunity to pick a few winners!
The whole idea behind creating the new format and changing the group stage of the competition into a league phase consisting of all 36 teams was aimed at improving the chances of the stronger sides in Europe qualifying for the knockout stages, with more matches this year against weaker opposition.
With so many games going on at once - and a lot of them between mismatched opposition - it means we have really good opportunities at creating big accumulators, whether it be goalscorer accas, both teams to score tips, or just picking outright winners, there are plenty of options which should give us some good bookmaker odds.
So the first tip we can give you is always make sure you checkout out the fixture list, because some matchday offer up more mismatches than others, while home advantage is also very important in the Champions League so carefully consider which sides are strongest at home and who travels the best - you will always get better value when betting on an away team.
One of the biggest frustrations with Champions League betting can be when a manager decides to rotate his squad, and name a much weaker side to play the midweek matches. With this in mind, it's important to look at the league games either side of a European fixture, and consider the respective positions of the two sides involved.
For example, Pep Guardiola is more like to rotate his Manchester City squad for a game against RB Leipzig than he is against Barcelona so even though they are huge favourites, the prices could be slightly misleading and betting on individual players is quite a risky strategy. Similarly, if City had a game against Liverpool coming up at the weekend, they might be slightly more reluctant to name a full-strength XI no matter who they are playing, so it's very important to keep up with the fixtures.
The knockout stages can also be really difficult when providing Champions League betting tips, because we are talking about the best sides on the continent coming up against each other. We do our best to provide the best betting tips with no stone left unturned, but the nature of top-level sport means anything could happen on the day, and that's why we all love it!
