England vs Wales Predictions, Six Nations Betting Tips & Bet Builder

There will be plenty of eyes on England during this year's Six Nations, as they go into the tournament as a genuine title contender for the first time in half a decade.
They have arguably the gentlest start possible, with a home tie against rudderless Wales to get them underway before the tougher tests in the coming weeks, so I would expect them to lay down a bit of a marker and continue their fine recent form.
They are second favourites with sports betting sites, and after France's statement win on Thursday night could do with an emphatic, bonus-point win to kick things off.
We've picked out three betting tips ahead of the game, with odds stacked heavily in England's favour.
England vs Wales Tips
Here’s a look at our rugby tips, along with the odds and best free bets for Saturday's game.
Tip 1: Henry Arundell to score 2+
The two sides head into this game absolutely worlds apart.
While Wales have won the Six Nations more recently than England, they have gone through a really torrid time of late, enduring an 18-match losing streak that only ended with a draw last summer.
England on the other hand have won their last 11, including a 68-14 hammering of Wales in last year's Six Nations, so the feeling this time round is how many will England win by, rather than whether they will win.
We have seen an evolution of the England side under Steve Borthwick over the last 12 months or so, to the point where they are now starting to express themselves a little more in attack and this game should offer the backs plenty of opportunity to get their hands on the ball.
Wales have conceded 125 points in their last two games - against New Zealand and South Africa - so expect England to attack from the off.
Henry Arundell will be one player to keep a close eye on this year. He has outstanding attacking talents but has been held back in the past by a suspect defensive game, but with England likely to be on the front foot for much of this game and potentially lots of open field to run into, Arundell shouldn't have any problems.
It might not show us much about his overall game, but we do know Arundell is a born try-scorer so I would expect him to cross the line a couple of times.
Tip 2: Jamie George & Tommy Freeman to score
With a pretty big score expected and England likely to target tries rather than the points from the boot in order to get the bonus point, the tries are likely to be spread round.
Tommy Freeman has been a crucial attacking cog over recent campaigns from the wing, so his move inside will be interesting to follow, and whether or not he offers the same sort of try-scoring threat.
He is a natural finisher so if the game breaks up and England get front-foot ball, he should have chances to score.
Jamie George is another who has a good record of touching down, having done so 16 times for England over a 10-year career.
He is only likely to play around 50 minutes, but I would expect him to be prominent in attack in the early stages. I expect England to assert their dominance up front in the first 20/30 minutes before opening the game up, and that's where George offers significant threat from close range.
Tip 3: England -28 handicap, second half to be the highest scoring, Henry Pollock to score
It is quite hard to find a decent price with this game, with England such overwhelming favourites, so we have had to push the boat out a little bit for this bet builder.
For starters, I would expect England to run out comfortable winners.
Steve Tandy will have had time to work with his players and hopefully make them harder to beat, but you would be surprised if it clicked straight away and given the sheer number of points they have shipped recently, it is likely to be another brutal day.
If there is one crumb of comfort, they have shown that they can score points themselves against Japan, New Zealand and Argentina in recent games, so there could be one or two moments of enjoyment for fans.
But I would expect England to have way too much. It might not be quite the margin they won by in Cardiff last year, but a big win and bonus point will be expected.
The second and third parts of this bet builder go hand in hand, because of the strength of England's bench which has been such a focus of Borthwick over the last 12 months.
He made his entrance to the international game with two tries at the Principality last year and given the energy with which Henry Pollock brings to every game he plays in, I think he will be exactly what Wales don't want to see when they are already struggling.
With players like Marcus Smith and Pollock likely to come on against a tiring defence, England could run them ragged in the second half.
