Scotland vs England Predictions, Six Nations Betting Tips & Bet Builder

There's plenty on the line in the Calcutta Cup this weekend, with Scotland in desperate need of a win and a performance against an England side flying high in confidence.
Gregor Townsend's Scots were the story of the opening round, going down 18-15 to Italy in Rome to leave the head coach staring down the barrel unless they can pull off a memorable win against an England side on a 12-match winning run.
Scotland have a superb recent record at Murrayfield against England in recent years, but it is England who are favourites with sports betting sites ahead of the game.
We've picked out three betting tips ahead of the game.
Scotland vs England Tips
Here’s a look at our rugby tips, along with the odds and best free bets for Saturday's game.
Tip 1: Scotland to win
I know England are the form team heading into this game and everything is pointing towards a potential Grand Slam-decider with France in the final week of this year's Six Nations, but Scotland at Murrayfield are not to be underestimated.
It's now six years since England won in Edinburgh, and they only have two wins north of the border in the last 10 years, so it's not exactly a happy hunting ground for Scott Borthwick's side.
And in the Calcutta Cup generally, Scotland have a lot of good memories having won it on four successive occasions before England edged them by a single point at Twickenham last year.
Things are a bit different this time round just because of where the two teams are, but Scotland's backs are firmly against the wall and they need a performance to stave off the vultures circling for Gregor Townsend, and I think that will make Murrayfield a very tough place on Saturday.
Tip 2: Henry Arundell first try-scorer
Conditions should be a big factor in Edinburgh on Saturday, with the forecast set to be clear but plenty of rain and snow coming down either side of gameday.
Should the weather draw in, we are likely to see a very different kind of game, the kind where George Ford could thrive a little more than Finn Russell and the Scottish backline, who were blunted into the monsoon conditions in Rome last week.
But if we get a decent day for it, then we could see some enterprising rugby from both sides.
Henry Arundell was one particular winner from England's opening round. No-one has ever questioned his try-scoring ability and he showcased that with a hat-trick against Wales, and he will be one to keep a close eye on through this tournament as the opposition gets tougher.
He is a good man to be on the end of England's attack at the moment and could further boost his own international tally.
Tip 3: Scotland +4, Henry Arundell to score England's first try
While I think Scotland have a very good chance of edging this game, I do think it will be a close one decided by one or two scores either way.
That gives Scotland a very good chance of winning with a handicap.
Last year's game was decided by a single point in England's favour, while their previous win in 2020 was 13-6 and the win before that at Murrayfield 15-9 - so both of them have been very narrow scorelines.
Gregor Townsend has shown a willingness to chop and change a settled backline so it's hard to know what to expect from them in attack right now, but in Arundell England will have a natural finish full of confidence.
If there is any weakness out wide in the Scottish defence, he will find it and I expect England to look to bring him into the game quite a lot, including via the cross-field kick that brought about a try against Wales.
