Clinton Morrison's Transfer Window Verdict, World Cup Review & Kevin Keegan Tribute
The World Cup is over, the transfer window is heating up and the Premier League season is just around the corner. Clinton Morrison joined us for a wide ranging end of summer special covering Spain's deserved World Cup triumph, a tribute to the late Kevin Keegan and his one realistic signing for every Premier League club this summer.

THE WORLD CUP FINAL, ONE OF THE WORST I'VE SEEN
Spain were deserving winners. They were the best team. They tried to play football the right way in my honest opinion and they were the ones on the front foot. But the final itself, I'm racking my brain trying to think of a worse one and it was the worst. I just rather see two teams go for it. Like we saw Argentina four years ago against France. That was one of the best by the way. And then you look at this one, it's one of the worst.
On Argentina's dark arts:
They're really good at the dark arts. And I feel like Paredes is the worst. He was the worst against England too, leaving late ones on Jude Bellingham, trying to get into people's heads. And then he's trying to fight young Gavi at the end. I just feel like, you've lost the game. I understand you've got frustration and you're disappointed, but you don't need to start resorting to violence. Kids are watching and they're thinking, is that the right way? I think Paredes was the main instigator. It didn't look good. But Spain were class and the way they handled it was outstanding.
On England fans feeling hard done by:
Argentina stunk the place out by the way. And England fans and England players must be thinking that should have been them. If you stop Messi, Argentina haven't got anyone else. That's my opinion. And if England had played Spain the form they're in, Spain were always going to win that game.
On the 48 team format:
100% it was a success. Countries like Cape Verde get recognition. Their players have all got recognition now. Look at the goalkeeper, he's got millions of followers on Instagram. You look at their center back who plays for Shamrock Rovers, surely Championship clubs will be looking at him because I thought he was outstanding. That's what this format does for smaller nations. I think 48 is just enough. 64 would be too long a tournament.
KEVIN KEEGAN TRIBUTE
Legend, absolute legend. I've met him a few times and he's always an infectious person and a larger than life character. When you go back and watch what he did as a manager and what he was like as a player, wow. He won two Ballon d'Ors. And I think people forget about Kevin Keegan and what he was. They look at him for that famous interview when he was manager. But what he was as a player, some player.
I see Newcastle fans saying he deserves a statue and without shadow of a doubt he deserves a statue for what he's done for the game and for football. He'll be sorely missed. I want to send out thoughts and prayers to his family.
For the younger generation that wouldn't know a lot about Kevin Keegan, I'd say go and look back at old clips of him and see what type of player he was. He could go past people like they weren't there, score all kinds of goals, create stuff. He was never on the fringes, he was always involved. And as I say, you win two Ballon d'Ors. That's not easy. But for him to go and win two is fantastic and it just shows how good a player he was. We've lost one of the good ones.
CLINTON'S ONE SIGNING FOR EVERY PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB
Arsenal: Julian Álvarez. I think Gyökeres had a decent season but if you want to go and compete to win the Champions League you need a center forward who's going to get you the goals. And I think Julián Álvarez would be that guy. I'd also go and get Bruno Guimarães but I know Newcastle fans would be going mad. Those are the two players I'd look at for Arsenal.
Aston Villa: Summerville from West Ham. I think he could improve them on the wing. I saw them linked to Garnacho but not for me. I'd go and get Summerville.
Bournemouth: If they lose Alex Scott they need a midfielder. But with their recruitment you don't ever tell Bournemouth how to recruit because they do it brilliantly. Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth probably have three of the best recruitment operations in the league.
Brentford: Callum Wilson they've already signed and I think that's a good signing to take the pressure off Thiago. Maybe another center half is needed but Brentford's recruitment is outstanding so you don't need to worry about them.
Brighton: Maybe another center forward of a younger variety. Welbeck's not getting any younger even though he had an outstanding season. Brighton's recruitment is just ridiculous. Cucurella went through Brighton and is now going to Real Madrid. They'll find someone we haven't heard of who goes on to be a superstar.
Chelsea: John Stones for experience at the back. Can you imagine Stones and Maxence Lacroix [Crystal Palace] as a partnership with young Levi Colwill coming in? That would be a really good partnership. Stones fit and healthy is an experienced no brainer for Chelsea. I said it last season and I'll say it again.
Coventry City: Liam Delap would be a great shout. You know what you're going to get and he can cause problems. That would suit going to Coventry. And you've got the Frank Lampard Chelsea connection as well.
Crystal Palace: They need to see who stays first and foremost. If Lacroix, Wharton and Mateta all go you've got to strengthen the spine of the team. The squad is good enough if everyone stays fit but they need two or three signings, especially with Europa League football coming. Another wide man they'd definitely look to bring in.
Everton: Jack Grealish. He wants to be playing football and I think that would be a brilliant signing to help out the youngsters. They've already done well with Hackney from Middlesbrough but Grealish is the one for me.
Fulham: A center forward. Jimenez has gone back to Wolves so they've only got Muniz up front. They might also look at a center back with Issa Diop going to Ipswich.
Hull City: They need to sign players we might not know of but who can hit the ground running in the Premier League. It's always the same clubs that come up that need to go and spend to be competitive because it is a big jump.
Ipswich Town: Same as Hull City. Sign proven Premier League players to be as competitive as possible.
Leeds United: A center forward. If Calvert Lewin picks up an injury, Joël Piroe I don't think is quite up to that level. They need someone to challenge him. They've signed Harry Wilson on a free from Fulham which is really good business, and Tarik Muharemović the center half. But a center forward is the priority.
Liverpool: Micky van de Ven. If they went and got someone like van de Ven, I think he'd be a brilliant signing alongside Virgil van Dijk, two Netherlands internationals. They also need world class wingers. Not one player can get Mo Salah's numbers. You'd probably need two or three to replace what he offered.
Manchester City: An attacking wide player. Someone to try and replace Bernardo Silva. You don't need a center forward because your center forward is a joke, Haaland. Maybe a right back as well. I think they've got two good left backs in O'Reilly and Gvardiol so the right side is the priority.
Manchester United: Another central midfielder and a striker. It feels like they've done it one window strikers, next window midfielders, next window defenders. So maybe another midfielder and a striker this time around. They've already done well with Santos and Tielemans.
Newcastle United: They need four or five bodies. Their squad's just been ripped apart. If Bruno Guimarães goes that's your complete midfield, excluding Joelinton, gone. They've lost Anthony Gordon. They need to do significant business.
Nottingham Forest: I think they're linked to Diomandé from Sporting. He was wanted when he was at Crystal Palace. They've got £116 million from selling Elliot Anderson so they'll spend. Glasner will want to back up what he did at Palace and the owner will back him.
Sunderland: Their best piece of business was probably keeping Xhaka because there was a lot of talk he could go to Chelsea. He said he's staying and they're not selling him. That's brilliant business. They'll want to strengthen defensively and add two or three signings for the Europa League.
Tottenham: Robertson on a free and Senesi on a free is amazing business. They've already done really well. They've got a good manager in De Zerbi and they'll be competitive this season. Maybe one more signing, a wide man or a number nine. They've been linked with Júnior from Bournemouth. But they've already done really good business.
