Brackley Town vs Notts County Tips, Predictions & Latest Odds
Craig Jones
It's time for one of the best weekend's in the football calendar, FA Cup 1st Round weekend. There's not as many games on terrestrial TV as I'd like to see, but this is one of them.
Below I've got Brackley Town vs Notts County tips and predictions, as well as the latest odds for this game, and plenty more.
Brackley Town vs Notts County Tips
Will there be an upset on the cards? Betting sites have Notts Country as favourites, but not odds on, this could be a close one.
Tip 1: Notts County to Win
There's a risk at going with the form book here, of course, it's a cup game and anything can happen.
An evening kick off under the lights, BBC cameras in attendance, it's ripe for a cup upset, but I just don't see it myself.
Brackley have been struggling for some time now, have just one point from their last five league games. They 6-2 in the FA Cup to qualify here, but that was only against Woking, another side currently struggling in the National League.
Even if Notts County make changes here, which I don't think they will looking at their fixture list, they should still have enough.
County don't play in the league until next Monday, and have an EFL Cup game next week where they may feel resting players makes more sense, so I think they'll go all out here and play a strong side.
While the romance of an upset sounds good, I just don't see it happening and I'm kicking off my football tips with a bet on Notts County to win this game.
Tip 2: Brackley to Score 0 Goals
In their big night, it would be disappointing to see Brackley not really threaten the Notts County goal, but from a betting perspective, I've got to go with the stats.
Yes, Brackley scored six in their FA Cup qualifying win, but when you look at their league stats, things look very bleak.
As I've already said, they've failed to win any of their last five games in the league, with just one point. But those five games have seen Brackley fail to score, every single time.
In their last eight league games, Brackley have scored two goals, coming in two games where they scored one in each, the other six, all ended with them failing to hit the back of the net.
It could be a tough night in front of goal for the non league side.
Tip 3: BTTS No & Alassana Jatta to Score 2 or More
I'll round things off with a double at a big price, in a game where I fancy Notts County to cruise to victory.
I've already spoke about the lack of goals in Brackley's team, so both teams to score in this I am going with no, as I don't think Brackley will.
Next up, a focus on Alassana Jatta, Notts County's star striker, who's having a great start to the season, in particular very recently.
He's scored five goals already, and have four in his last four games, including two in a 2-0 win over Cambridge last weekend.
With a lower league defence here, and the chance to impress on TV, I'll take Jatta to score two or more.
