To make matters worse for the visitors here, those defeats have all come without them even scoring a goal, conceding seven and failing to get on the scoresheet. This looks set to be another tough night.

St Mirren visit Pittodrie having lost their last four league games without scoring - a tight, low-scoring game looks on the cards.

Dundee United vs Livingston - BTTS Yes

Both teams have scored in roughly 71% of Livingston's league games this season.

They have been carrying a real threat going forward, but they leak goals on the road, and Dundee United have already done the business against them earlier this campaign in a 3-2 win.

With United safe from relegation and Livingston already down, this should be a wide-open end-of-season clash.

Kilmarnock vs Dundee - BTTS Yes

Not the most nailed-on pick, but the defensive frailties on both sides point to goals at Rugby Park.

Their meeting last month ended 2-2, and both sides have scored in four of their last five head-to-heads.

There's little reason to expect a cagey contest here either.

Saturday's 0-0 first leg at the Riverside forces this tie wide open at St Mary's.

Southampton have seen both teams scoring in four of their last five home games, and were one of the Championship's most prolific sides this season with 82 league goals.

Boro can't afford to sit back with everything still to play for, and once they push bodies forward, it's hard to see a clean sheet at either end on a night like this.

A tight first leg on Saturday brings this game back to Southampton with the scores level at 0-0.

I thought Middlesbrough were good first half, an initial push and will feel like they should have scored. But as the game went on, Southampton settled into it better, and definitely finished the stronger.

With the backing of their home fans, and a more settled feel to the start of this game, I think it tips things in their favour.

While I think we'll see a very tight game again, this time, I think Southampton can find a goal or two from somewhere.

Under 2.5 Goals

Both teams went into the first leg on the back of goals coming freely, but the first game saw little in the way of big chances, and that's a pattern I expect to see continue.

Neither will do anything silly in the early stages, Middlesbrough especially will sit back more here, being the away side.

Southampton, as said already, I think will win, but they'll have to be patient, and take their time to unlock the Boro defence.

Under 2.5 goals gives us a Southampton win by a score of 1-0 or 2-0 on our side, and they're exactly where I think this game ends up.

Luke Ayling to be Carded

Ayling leads Middlesbrough's yellow card chart with ten bookings from 44 Championship appearances this season, a right back who plays on the edge and makes no apologies for it.

He will be up against Southampton's wide men all night in front of a crowd that will be rocking, and with promotion to the Premier League in the balance, this is exactly the type of fixture where Ayling's aggressive style earns him a booking I think.

Morgan Whittaker (Middlesbrough) vs Southampton
