They take on an FC Augsburg side rooted near the foot of the Bundesliga and very much locked in a relegation fight. The gap in quality is stark, and with Bayern playing at this intensity, I expect them to dominate from the off.
Bayern minus two looks a strong angle, with goals likely to come freely.
Tip 2: Real Madrid to beat Villarreal
The second leg of the double sees Real Madrid at home to Villarreal. Villarreal have been flying high in La Liga, but this feels like a moment where Real Madrid could really start to hit form.
Following a recent managerial change, there’s a sense that the players are responding, and their 6–1 Champions League win over Monaco was a clear statement. Performances like that suggest a renewed energy and unity within the squad.
It’s not often you see Real Madrid available at around even money, and with momentum building, I’m happy to side with them to get the job done.
