Although the Baggies lost 10 straight on the road, culminating in Mason’s dismissal, their form at The Hawthorns has been fairly solid.
West Brom have won three of their last four at home, including victories over Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield United.
Boro’s form before the festive period was strong, but defeats to Hull and Derby checked their momentum following Hellberg’s arrival.

Since the beginning of December, Grant has found his feet in the final third. He has scored three goals in his last seven Championship games, including a fine strike in the defeat to Leicester.
Notably, the forward has been more active in the final third, registering at least on attempt at goal in his last 11.
Nine of his 10 shots on target have come in his last seven games, and I think the value for him to find the back of the net against Boro on Friday night is too high to overlook.
