West Ham will be looking to dispel the air of gloom pervading the club when they entertain Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.
The Hammers have made their worst start to a season in 52 years, and Nuno Santo remains winless after taking over from Graham Potter in September.
Newcastle though will aim to continue their momentum after a late 2-1 win over Fulham last weekend, and Eddie Howe will be eager to rub salt into West Ham’s wounds.

West Ham vs Newcastle Tips
Tip 1: Newcastle to win to nil - 7/4
Fulham could consider themselves unfortunate not to grab a point against Newcastle, but the Magpies scrambled over the line in stoppage time.
West Ham, in stark contrast, were completely abject against Leeds, and were swept aside in the first 15 minutes. The obvious underlying flaw within the Hammers is their ability to defend from corners.
Newcastle will be looking to bombard the West Ham box with crosses and long throws. Indeed, Newcastle have attempted 23 long throws into the box this season, which is interesting given there has been a significant shift in teams reverting back to old school tactics.
Anyway, Eddie Howe has won seven Premier League matches against West Ham, only tasting more victories over Aston Villa in the top flight (eight). West Ham, meanwhile, have conceded the most goals in the league (20), and they have the second-worst expected goals against total (15.2).
The signs are pointing towards a Newcastle win, and I’m tipping them to come away from the Capital with victory and a clean sheet intact.
Tip 2: Under 8.5 corners - 21/10
As previously mentioned, West Ham have been inept in trying to deal with corners, and Newcastle will look to capitalise on that.
Excluding penalties, 67 goals have been scored from set-pieces at a share of 27.8% this season, and across the board, there have been 241 goals netted from corners.
In two of the past three meetings between West Ham and Newcastle, the corner count has been quite low, with under 8.5 corners.
I like to look for patterns, and the under 8.5 corners line has attractive odds attached to it.
Tip 3: Nick Woltemade to score a hat-trick - 30/1
When Alexander Isak left Newcastle over the summer, there was a tangible fear as to where the goals would come from.
However, the Tyneside outfit have found a new hero in Nick Woltemade, who has already gone some way to paying off his huge transfer fee by netting six goals in all competitions.
Last month, Woltemade scored in three league games on the trot, and he could run West Ham ragged.
I think he could have a field day, and while I’ve been bold here, a hat-trick isn’t beyond the realms of possibility for the German.
