Australian PGA Championship Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds

The 2025 Australian PGA Championship kicks off the new DP World Tour season at Royal Queensland Golf Club in Brisbane.
The tournament returns to a modern, 7,085-yard par 71 layout on the north bank of the Brisbane River, where generous fairways, limited rough, and a largely level landscape create opportunities for clean ball striking.
While it can look straightforward, the course features well-positioned bunkers that influence strategy both from the tee and into the greens, so players who stay patient and choose sensible targets often fare best.
Elvis Smylie heads back as the defending champion after sealing a two-shot success at this event last year, but itโs Min Woo Lee and Joaquin Niemann who head the market here.
Free Bets golf expert Ben Smith has picked out four golf betting tips ahead of the Australian PGA Championship.
Australian PGA Championship Betting Tips
Check out our four tips for the Australian PGA Championship below, alongside the top prices from the best UK betting sites.
Tip 1: Winner - Marc Leishman (Each-Way)
Marc Leishman has not lifted a trophy on home soil since 2008, but this looks a realistic chance to change that. He arrives sharper than in previous renewals, having won earlier this year and stayed competitive after the LIV season with three finishes of T11 or better in his last three starts, the latest of which came in Saudi Arabia a week ago.
Royal Queensland clearly suits him, with results of 12th in 2022 and third place in both 2023 and 2024. He was right in the mix during last yearโs shortened tournament as home players dominated the leaderboard.
An Australian has triumphed each time the competition has been played here since it moved in 2022. Given his prep and course record, Leishman looks among the most likely to keep up that trend.
Tip 2: Winner - David Micheluzzi (Each-Way)
David Micheluzziโs form has dipped since his top-10 in Scotland in August, but given the Aussie dominance here, Iโm happy to overlook that and take what feels a more than reasonable price.
A four-time winner on the PGA Tour of Australasia, Micheluzzi sounded upbeat after locking up his Tour Card in Korea, and he should approach these late-2025 events with a positive attitude.
Royal Queensland should help, as his record there is more than adequate, and its generous fairways allow his short game to shine. Signs of life in recent times suggest he could thrive back on home turf.
Tip 3: Winner - Cameron John (Each-Way)
Cameron John has opened the Australasia Tour season in style, already sitting third in the standings thanks to a win, a runner-up finish and five straight results inside the top 20.
He closed out last weekโs Queensland PGA Championship with authority after putting himself near the lead throughout, a victory he had long been trending towards.
That reliability hints heโs ready for a bigger stage, and at the prices, an improving home hope feels a sensible outsider to support.
Tip 4: Winner - Anthony Quayle (Each-Way)
Anthony Quayle gets the nod thanks to excellent course memories in Brisbane, including third last year and sixth in 2022.
He is better prepared than ever as he heads into his rookie DP World Tour season, knows Royal Queensland intimately and offers enough upside at big odds to warrant support.
