DP World Tour Championship Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds
Ben Smith
The 2025 DP World Tour season wraps up in Dubai, with the top 50 players gathering at Jumeirah Golf Estates for one final test on the Earth Course.
Rory McIlroy is virtually assured of another Race to Dubai title, but thereโs still plenty on the line for those chasing the last big prizes of the year. A $10 million purse, valuable Rolex Series points, and the final 10 PGA Tour cards keep motivation high across the field.
Measuring 7,706 yards, the Greg Norman-designed layout rewards both length and precision, with its wide fairways and demanding greens. The closing holes, framed by water and risk-reward decisions, have a habit of reshaping leaderboards and ensuring the season finishes in suitably testing fashion.
Free Bets golf expert Ben Smith has picked out a few golf betting tips ahead of the season finale.
DP World Tour Championship Betting Tips
Here are our four top tips, with the best prices on the market.
Tip 1: Winner - Nicolai Hojgaard
Nicolai Hojgaard looks well placed to end the season on a high and has every chance to claim a second DP World Tour Championship title.
He comes into Dubai after an impressive third-place finish in Abu Dhabi, where he ranked among the leaders from tee to green and looked fully in control of his long game.
That followed a steady run of strong results, including top-five berths at the Scottish Open and British Masters.
Comfortable in desert conditions and with proven success on this course, Hojgaardโs length off the tee and sharp approach play make him a serious contender to push McIlroy and the rest of the star-studded field this week.
Tip 2: Winner - Marco Penge (Each-Way) (6 places)
Marco Penge arrives in Dubai with plenty to play for and the form to make a serious impact. His rise this season has been one of the stories of the year, marked by three DP World Tour triumphs and a growing comfort against the strongest fields.
He still has an outside chance of knocking McIlroy off his perch in the Race to Dubai, but his main target may be keeping hold of top spot among those set to earn PGA Tour cards, which would bring invitations to some of the biggest events in the United States.
Recent results back up his credentials - a T9 in Abu Dhabi, highlighted by a superb final-round 63, showed just how well heโs hitting the ball and how confidently heโs handling elite company.
Tip 3: Winner - Laurie Canter (Each-Way) (6 places)
At a big price, Laurie Canter looks a genuine contender to at least compete towards the top of the leaderboard.
Victory in Bahrain earlier this year underlined his class, while recent finishes of second in Korea and 23rd in Abu Dhabi show his game is holding steady.
Canterโs record at Jumeirah Golf Estates adds further encouragement - he led after 54 holes on debut in 2020 before coming fifth, and has followed that with two more solid performances here.
A consistent driver and a player who thrives in desert conditions, Canter is well-equipped to feature prominently again.
Tip 4: Winner - Thriston Lawrence (Each-Way) (5 places)
Thriston Lawrence has had a patchy at best first year on the PGA Tour but returns to Dubai looking to end 2025 on a high.
A five-time DP World Tour winner, heโs shown flashes of brilliance despite inconsistency, highlighted by his European Masters win in August, which came amid a run of missed cuts.
His record at Jumeirah Golf Estates is solid, and includes a fifth place in 2023. At the odds quoted, Iโm happy to take a chance on his upside, fully aware that he may wind up dead last.
