The Genesis Invitational Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds

The Genesis Invitational heads back to Riviera Country Club this week, bringing one of the PGA Tour’s most respected venues into focus after last year’s disruption.
Riviera rarely looks intimidating on paper, yet it consistently identifies the very best players, demanding quality ball-striking, confident long-iron play and imagination around the greens.
As the final stop on the West Coast Swing, it also arrives at a point in the season when form lines are beginning to settle, offering useful clues for the months ahead.
The Signature Event format ensures another elite field, with most of the world’s leading names making the short journey from Pebble Beach to Los Angeles.
With history showing clear links to major championship success, this week’s challenge should once again reward those operating at the very top level.

Tip 1: Winner - Tommy Fleetwood (Each-Way)
Tommy Fleetwood arrives at Riviera with plenty of encouragement after a tied fourth at Pebble Beach, his first PGA Tour start of the season. The Englishman improved as the week went on and closed with a 66 that could easily have been better, gaining strokes across every key category and ranking near the top of the field tee to green.
Riviera has also been a positive venue for him, with progressive results of 37th, 28th, 20th and 10th showing clear comfort on the layout. Now armed with the confidence of his breakthrough PGA Tour win late last year, Fleetwood appears well placed to contend again. With his all-round game in good order and Poa greens no concern, the course should suit him nicely.
Tip 2: Winner - Ludvig Aberg (Each-Way)
Ludvig Aberg is back as defending champion, albeit after last year’s victory came at Torrey Pines, a venue that still shares plenty of traits with Riviera in terms of long-iron demands and Poa greens. He was a respectable 19th on his only start here and, given his record of contending at Augusta, it’s easy to see why this layout should fit him long term.
His start to 2026 has been disrupted by illness, but there were positive signs at Pebble Beach where he recovered from a slow opening round to produce three good scores and climb into mid-pack. With his driving consistently elite and his short game improving, Aberg looks capable of mounting another bold showing.
Tip 3: Winner - JJ Spaun (Each-Way)
JJ Spaun’s results early in the season don’t immediately catch the eye, but much of that can be traced to a quiet putter rather than any decline in his long game. Tee to green he has remained very solid, continuing the level he showed throughout 2025, and there were signs of improvement on the greens at Pebble Beach where weekend rounds of 67 and 68 lifted him into a more respectable finish.
That uptick is encouraging heading into Riviera, a venue that tends to reward players striking the ball with authority. While this field is packed with bigger names, Spaun looks a little overlooked given the underlying numbers and his ability to contend at the top events.
Tip 4: Winner - Sahith Theegala (Each-Way)
Sahith Theegala has started the season with several decent efforts and, despite a quiet week at Pebble Beach, there were still positives to take from his long game. He returns to a venue that should suit his eye, having finished sixth here in 2023 and made the cut on every visit.
A Los Angeles native and reliable performer on Poa greens, he also has form at Torrey Pines, which suggests he can outrun bigger odds.
