Charlie McCann's Horse Racing Tips Sunday, 23 August - Worcester
Charlie heads to Worcester on Sunday for his best bet

It's a busy day of racing action in the UK and Ireland, and Charlie McCann is here with his exclusive free horse racing tips - only at FreeBets.
2:08pm Worcester - Ras Kassar (Nap)
The mare Gata Ban has little to fear from Axel Bleue on course and distance form from June and the former will be ridden by Dylan Johnston who was in the saddle when David Pipe's RAS KASSAR (Nap) finished second at Perth last weekend from a 1lb lower mark.
Ryan Corcoran takes over in the plate this afternoon and it would be interesting to know whether Johnston had the choice of mounts. Do note that Corcoran was riding at Perth but was overlooked. With Jack Tudor having taken over as first jockey at the yard of Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero, I thought the promising Corcoran would be given the job, but it looks as if Pipe may be using the best available given Ras Kassar runs in the colours of the David Pipe Racing Club.
Ras Kassar jumped left on occasions at Perth and was well supported only giving way on the run over two-and-a-half miles. He must prove his stamina for the additional three furlongs, but he is, arguably, 4lbs better off this afternoon with Corcoran's claim.
His breeding does not exactly scream three miles, but he did win in France over 2m5f and gets the vote in a cracking start to the card.
Recommendation: Ras Kassar (Nap) - 11/2 with bet365
4:38pm Worcester - Harry (Each-Way)
The assumption is that Letterston Lady will be a non-runner in the 2m4f handicap hurdle given, at the time of writing, he was a well-supported market leader at Newton Abbot over 2m5f+.
Dream Diamond looked woefully one-paced at Uttoxeter last time although anything that James Owen saddles is much respected. Trouville is well handicapped on the best of his flat form, but he finished tamely at Uttoxeter last time over the minimum trip. He stayed up to 2m on the flat and today's additional half mile ought to suit.
I hope it's a good day for David Pipe and his Racing Club as the nine-year-old HARRY (Each-Way) – who has won his last couple in France for Noel George - makes his first start for David Pipe. The market will give us valuable clues as to whether connections believe his opening British mark is fair, but he was given a Racing Post Rating of 131 back in his prime which suggests a mark of 110 – less Corcoran's 5lbs claim – is more than workable.
County Champs remains a maiden after fourteen starts – runner up three times in Ireland - but makes his British and stable debut for the excellent Chris Gordon this afternoon. The booking of Harry Cobden catches the eye.
Recommendation: Harry (Each-Way) - 8/1 with bet365 (3 places)

Horse racing has long been Charlie's passion - ironic, really, as he'll never pass the vet again, as sports injuries have come back to bite - with a specialism in handicap chases over jumps and 1m+ handicaps on the level.
