Charlie McCann's Horse Racing Tips Sunday, 30 August - Beverley & Goodwood
Charlie heads to Goodwood on Sunday for his best bet

It's a busy day of racing action in the UK and Ireland, and Charlie McCann is here with his exclusive free horse racing tips - only at FreeBets.
1:40pm Beverley - Tiger & Galyx
The ITV Racing cameras are at Goodwood and Beverley and, in the opener on the Westwood, I hope to see a big run from TIGER in the 10f handicap despite the fact he received a 4lbs rise for finishing second at Ayr last time.
That run was on ground, arguably, faster than ideal and the form of his facile Chester win on his penultimate start was given a boost when the second, Cape Fear, dotted up at Windsor earlier in the week. Conditions were described as a mix of soft and heavy on Saturday morning, and trainer Ian Williams has suggested that Tiger would relish cut in the ground although this will be the softest ground he has encountered to date.
Paul Mulrennan takes over on the French import for the first time, and I thought 11/2 was fair on Saturday morning although I am also going to save on GALYX of Jack Channon who has his ground for the first time this season and has been dropped 5lbs in those three starts.
He was rated 82 when beating soft ground specialists Lord Melbourne and Stressfree at Leicester as a three-year-old on heavy ground, and I thought the quotes were too big for the Lambourn raider. He is parked out in stall twelve but, if they come stands' side in the straight, that might be a positive.
Recommendations: Tiger - 11/2 with bet365 & Galyx at 17/2 with bet365
4:20pm Goodwood - Maxident (Nap)
Senor Cortez has won his last three and is a progressive stayer, but that hat-trick has been gained on the all-weather, and his ability to handle what is likely to be ground with plenty of dig has to be taken on trust.
Senor Cortez had MAXIDENT (Nap) over five lengths behind at Kempton last time, but the latter will appreciate any cut in the ground, and he can reverse the form on 6lbs better terms. The six-year-old has finished second in both starts this term but has been beaten more than 5l on both starts and can race from the same mark today.
I thought his tail had caught fire he went off so quick over course and distance back in June and, in the circumstances, he ran a terrific race. If David Egan can get the fractions right, then he can make all.
Moon Over Miami has disappointed so far this term but is on a fair mark – 2lbs lower than when last successful - and will relish the likely cut in the ground. There are no prices at the time of writing, but I may save on the five-year-old if prices allow.
Recommendation: Maxident (Nap) - 9/2 with bet365
4:55pm Goodwood - Due To Henry (Each-Way)
DUE TO HENRY (Each-Way) was rated 90 as a three-year-old but had a poor four-year-old campaign. He has, however, shown signs of an upturn in fortune in all three starts this year, including when third at Chester on good to soft ground over today's 10f trip.
A big run from Impartiality – runs in the Beverley opener – would be a boost to the chances of the selection given he finished second on the Roodeye just over a length in front of Due To Henry, who made his challenge down the inside when the 1-2 came more centre of the track.
Eve Johnson Houghton began Goodwood's three-day meeting with a winner on Friday, and the hope is that she can double up in the finale.
Recommendation: Due To Henry (Each-Way) - 9/1 with bet365 (3 places)
