Charlie heads to Uttoxeter on Tuesday for his best bet
It's a busy day of racing action in the UK and Ireland, and Charlie McCann is here with his exclusive free horse racing tips - only at FreeBets.
4:17pm Yarmouth - Kokanee (Each-Way)
The ground was described as soft at Yarmouth on Monday morning after 2mm overnight, although the forecast is largely dry, although there may be a chance of a shower during racing.
Hamlet's Knight returns from a four-month lay-off but may need further and better ground although the booking of Luke Morris is positive for James Owen. He does have an excellent record fresh, however, and a check of the market is advised given he won from a 3lbs lower mark over 1m3f at Kempton back in February, returning from a 100+ day lay-off.
The vote goes to KOKANEE (Each-Way) ridden by classic winning jockey Saffie Osborne for Ed Dunlop whose form on soft/good to soft ground reads 4-3-2-1. The three-year-old finished last at Lingfield last month and only beat a couple of stragglers home at Ayr on his penultimate start, but he is very much ground dependent and is only 3lbs higher than when scoring at Lingfield in June. That form has been given a big boost by the subsequent wins (2) of the third and the fourth.
Billy Loughnane rides Echalar for Ian Williams, and he is only 4lbs higher than when scoring at Doncaster last month in an apprentice race. He has since been taken out of a Goodwood race because conditions – soft – went against and he may struggle if Monday's going description is accurate.
Recommendation: Kokanee (Each-Way) - 12/1 with bet365 (3 places)
3:00pm Uttoxeter - Ice Jet (Nap)
I thought Harry Skelton gave ICE JET (Nap) a poor ride at Newton Abbot last time going four or five wide around those tight turns in the first mile of that four-runner race. He made a significant mistake two out but was ultimately no match for Gore Point. The winner has subsequently disappointed back at the Devon track, but that was only five days after his fluent success and was not his true running.
The grey is yet to win over fences, but he is largely a good jumper although his three hurdle successes have come over an additional half mile. He should have the race run to suit, but the hope is that Skelton does not go wide in what is, arguably, a better race. Four-year-olds receive 10lbs weight-for-age from their elders and that could prove crucial.
Dream Diamond is making his chase debut for James Owen and regular pilot Johnny Burke, but fellow six-year-old Supreme George - one of two Donald McCain representatives in the field - is considered the chief threat. He is an excellent jumper and won half of his eight chase starts last term. He has been raised 21lbs for those victories but, if he gets a soft lead, he will be hard to peg back.
Recommendation: Ice Jet (Nap) - 4/5 with Sky Bet

5:05pm Uttoxeter - Martin’s Denuo
I am convinced that this 2m4f trip is the optimum for Gaelic Rambler who is blinkered for the first time by Team O'Neill replacing his normal cheekpieces. He has dropped to an attractive mark and could easily make all if the headgear works the oracle.
I hope this is a good day for four-year-olds as the vote goes to MARTIN'S DENUO who was not beaten far by course specialist Midnight Jewel at Fontwell earlier in the month over 2m5f+ when he gave the impression this drop back to two-and-a-half miles will suit.
David Pipe's French import can jump low/hurdle some of his fences, and he can edge right at his obstacles, but he has an engine, and he receives 11lbs weight-for-age allowance from his elders. He will be winning races sooner rather than later, and he will enjoy the strong gallop that is likely to be set with A Dublin Job, Lady Kara and Sleeping Satellite, also prominent racers.
Recommendation: Martin's Denuo - 9/4 with Paddy Power
