Charlie heads to Sedgefield on Tuesday for his best bet
It's a busy day of racing action in the UK and Ireland, and Charlie McCann is here with his exclusive free horse racing tips - only at FreeBets.
2:08pm Ayr - Empirestateofmind
EMPIRESTATEOFMIND beat Motawaared a length over course and distance ten days ago and, taking in Lauren Young's 3lbs claim on the latter, is 6lbs worse off for that length success. The selection is not weighted to confirm the form, but he has subsequently gone down by a length – pair clear – to the enigmatic Bradbury at Hamilton over an additional furlong.
The eight-year-old is 3lbs higher this afternoon and is having his third start in eleven days, but he is still 16lbs lower than when scoring at Musselburgh twelve months ago, and he has a good draw in stall two for one who likes to race prominently.
Motawaared disappointed when made favourite at Hamilton on the back of his excellent Ayr run, but connections said he ran flat with the run coming just two days after his Ayr run. He, too, has a plum draw (3) but he remains a maiden after seventeen starts, and Empirestateofmind can confirm the form.

3:08pm Ayr - Tipsy Tiger
The sole three-year-old in the field in the 10f handicap Keep An Eye On It is not guaranteed on breeding to appreciate this step up to 10f, but he is the one to beat after his excellent second at Carlisle last time over their extended mile.
Zowal is another who has stamina to prove but will relish the ground. He is closely matched with Kokanee on Pontefract running from back in the spring over that stiff mile, but marginal preference is for the William Stone trained TIPSY TIGER.
The five-year-old has not won for two years but has been lightly raced of late – just two starts in 2026 – and is now 1lb lower than when scoring at Sandown. He comes here fresher than most, will likely be overlooked in the market but has nothing to fear from Kokanee on Sandown running from last September when second in the race he had won in 2024.
The selection was returning from a ten-week absence when fourth at Sandown – his third run in the race – last time running as if he would come on for the run. He made his challenge on the far rail, and it may have been an advantage to race more towards the centre of the track.
Do note Stone has a couple of runners on the card with Big Harry (4:40pm) – also under Shane Gray – holding every chance in the 6f handicap. It will be interesting to see what the market makes of their respective chance.

3:15pm Sedgefield - Thank You Blue (Nap)
Jennie Candlish saddled the winner (In The Trenches) when Passengerontheship finished second at Warwick in a three-horse 3m chase last week. The winning time broke standard on the lightning-fast ground, and the Sam England-trained runner-up is the one to beat, having won five chases since the spring.
The seven-year-old has been raised 28lbs for those five wins, however, and Candlish saddles THANK YOU BLUE, who palpably failed to stay 3m2f+ here last time, over his optimum trip of 2m5f today. I appreciate a twelve-race maiden over fences will not be everyone's cup of tea, but he is finally getting his act together over the larger obstacles, and he is rated 9lbs lower over fences than hurdles.
