Tip 1: Be Aware - 1:45pm Cheltenham
The Dan Skelton trained Be Aware kicks off my Cheltenham tips, a good hurdler last season, he made a winning start over bigger obstacles a couple of weeks ago.
He wasn't fluent there, and I certainly think he will have improved for the experience, but in between flights, he oozed class and showed just how good his engine is.
In the end, he pulled nicely clear, and deserves this step up in grade.
Cheltenham can find out poor jumping, so I am hoping he's improved, if that's the case, he looks to have a really solid chance here.
Tip 2: Panic Attack (NAP) - 2:20pm Cheltenham
The big race, so a bold prediction, my NAP of the day is Panic Attack, another runner from the in form Skelton yard.
She won over fences in really good style last January, and I was expecting her to turn up at either Cheltenham or Aintree, but she never showed. Instead, reverted to hurdles and finished second, but that did mean she protected her chase mark.
Coming straight here, for a yard that love to target big handicaps, I think this has been the plan all along, and few are better at getting one ready for a big handicap than the Skelton's.
She's up 10lb since that Windsor win in January, but two of the three to finish behind her that day are now higher in the handicap too, it was a good race, and she won with plenty in hand.
Tip 3: Kikijo - 2:55pm Cheltenham
I am looking forward to watching Kikijo go well in the staying handicap hurdle at 2:55pm, a race that features many runners who took each other on last time, with Supremely West being the best of those that day in third.
Kikijo wasn't part of that group, instead began his season at Aintree, where he stayed on but couldn't land a blow, finishing three lengths back in fourth.
I think the switch to this stiffer test, with an uphill finish, is going to play into his staying strengths, even though this race is over slightly shorter.
Handicapped to go close, and with a run under his belt, Kikijo should go well here.
Tip 4: French Ship - 3:30pm Cheltenham
I round things off with French Ship, a horse who won here at the Showcase Meeting last month, and made a really good impression on me.
This race looks a similar standard to that, I don't think there's much in them. He's got an 8lb rise in the weights to contend with, that makes life tougher, but he won by almost four lengths that day.
Not looking like stopping at the line, this extra furlong here could bring out even more improvement, to help overcome the rise in the weights.
An uncomplicated ride, with winning course form already this year, he holds claims again.
