Kempton Tips - Horse Racing Boxing Day Predictions & Latest Betting Odds

It's Boxing Day, one of the highlights of the year for horse racing fans, and a cracking card at Kempton Park to headline it all.
Below, the big races are in focus for my Kempton tips, where I take a look at the three Grade One contests and deliver my best bets. Plus there's the racecard and latest odds, giving you all you need in one place here on Free Bets so you don't need to go anywhere else!
Kempton Tips - Boxing Day Horse Racing
My three tips are in focus below, with latest odds from the best betting sites too, so you can see what prices are currently available on them all.
Kempton 1:20pm - Kauto Star Novices' Chase
This novice chase looks to be wide open, and obviously there's plenty of guesswork involved too, with limited chase form to go on.
However, I think there's good value with Wendigo, who looks the rock solid pick, and as long as there's nothing top, top class in this field, I think he holds a rock solid chance.
Fifth in the Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival last year, so I've no concerns about his stamina, in fact, I'm seeing this step back up in trip as a big positive.
Two chase starts so far, second behind Wade Out (who has since won a grade two at Cheltenham) and then a winner in Grade Two action at Newbury, so the chase form already looks good.
Both over 2m4f, I think he'll excel stepping up to 3m here, and has the form in the book to go very close.
Kempton 1:55pm - Christmas Hurdle
All eyes on Sir Gino here, who reverts to hurdles, comes back after a year off, and despite all of that, is amongst the leaders of the market for the Champion Hurdle.
I just can't take him seriously for that, until we've seen it on track, and at odds on, I can't back him here. I hope he wins, and makes a splash but there's a lot to take on trust from the Henderson yard.
Instead, I think there's value in Celtic Dino for Sam Thomas at a much bigger price, if Sir Gino doesn't go as well as expected, I think he's best placed to take advantage.
A winner of the Welsh Champion Hurdle off top weight to start his season, second behind Wodhooh at Aintree last time out took his form to a whole new level.
I really like Wodhooh, a horse who could be top class, so on that form, I'll take Celtic Dino to cause a surprise here.
Kempton 2:30pm - King George VI Chase
The last of my horse racing tips comes in the King George and this year the big one looks a cracker, wide open in the betting, but there's plenty of reasons why I don't like a few of them.
My pick for the race is Gaelic Warrior, a horse who I think will be a real quality performer, but I'm not sure he has the stamina for a Gold Cup, so I could see him winning here, then dropping back for the Ryanair at Cheltenham.
He beat Fact To File in a cracking race to start the season, and I've no doubt both will come here better, now up to three miles on this easy track. Gaelic Warrior got the best of that first battle, and I think Kempton over three miles is perfect for him, so I think he'll get the better here.
Of the rest to quickly run through them, I can't have Jango Baie because I've no idea what his best trip is, not sure this is it though. The Jukebox Man could be top quality, but I just think he's lacking the experience to win this over fences for now.
Benbridge looks a shadow of the horse that won this race 12 months ago, while the top grade usually finds Djelo out in the end.
Il Est Francais needs a rebound, and Master chewy is some way off at the ratings to get involved.
It all comes back to Willie Mullins, as most big races do, and the most consistent, top quality form, has come from Gaelic Warrior in 2025, more so than Fact To File.
It should be a cracker between the pair once again, but it's the pink silks I'm backing to come home in front.
