Scottish Grand National Tips: Ayr 3:35pm Verdict & Latest Odds

We've had Aintree and the Irish Grand National, now in it's traditional home a week after Aintree, it's time for the Scottish Grand National to take place.
A big race, plenty in with chances and here at Free Bets, I've got my Scottish Grand National tips exclusively on site.
If you're still undecided who you're picking in the big one, hopefully I can help below.
Scottish Grand National Tips
Ran over four miles, this race is slightly shorter than the Aintree Grand National, but still requires a huge amount of staying power.
The fences are a little easier, but this is still one of the toughest tests in race.
I've got two each way fancies below, plus the latest odds from betting sites for my picks and the rest of the field.
Tip 1: Blaze The Way (EW)
First up from my two selections, I think the Margaret Mullins trained Blaze The Way is of interest.
The eight year old has top weight, so this task won't be easy, but has plenty left in him after just seven chase starts, and I don't think his past two runs really gave him the stamina test that he needs.
A winner at Cheltenham in December off 138, he's rated 146 now, but he was very impressive that day over 3m2f and that's the minimum he needs to bring out the best in him.
This is the furthest he's ran, but I'm very hopeful the further he goes, the better he's going to look. He finished 7th in the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival, and before that, 5th behind Argento Boy at Naas. I'm not convinced either race was long enough to really bring him into his own.
First time cheekpieces are applied today, to sharpen him up.
Recommendation: Blaze The Way (EW 5 Places) at 25/1 (William Hill, Ladbrokes, Coral, BetVictor)
Tip 2: Our Power (EW)
Now an 11 year old, I do think Our Power is on the decline, but I'm hoping there's one last big day in him and he delivers that here.
He was third in this race last year, running very well off a mark of 143, he's now rated 137, so is here on 6lb better terms.
Since then, three runs, a fall over the Grand National fences, a decent 6th in the Berkshire National at Ascot, and then a fairly poor run on heavy ground at Wincanton, which you can discount.
So while he's dropped down the weights, I'm not sure he's done too much wrong to deserve that.
I think returning to this trip, and back on decent ground, puts things in his favour to run a nice race, at a price that could be too big.
Recommendation: Our Power (EW 5 Places) at 28/1 (bet365, William Hill)
