The Grade 2 Liberthine Mares’ Chase (Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase) is the newest race at the Festival and was launched in 2021. The race was added to the Gold Cup Day card, and is run over two miles and four furlongs.
Created to increase the number of elite races for female horses and to help encourage the breeding industry as a whole, and Irish-trained horses have won all three renewals of the race to date.
