Wolves vs Liverpool Tips
We’ve got three football betting tips for Wednesday's game, including a bet builder and the latest odds.
Tip 1: Liverpool win and BTTS
Last Friday, eyebrows were raised when Wolves stunned Midlands rivals Aston Villa 2-0.
While Wolves have been this season’s whipping boys, they produced a gritty display against Villa, and the sparkling result is one of the scarce highlights this season, along with the 2-2 draw at home to Arsenal.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have fallen off a cliff, but they thrashed West Ham 5-2. While the scoreline would suggest it was a stroll in the park for the Reds, their defensive foibles were exposed.
Although I’m not always sure what Liverpool side will turn up these days, they should have too much for Wolves, who, despite being doomed, won’t want to take a big beating.
Interestingly, the last three scorelines have all been 2-1 in favour of Liverpool, but rather than go for the Correct Score market, I’m backing Liverpool to win & BTTS instead.
Tip 2: Hugo Ekitike to Score 2+ Goals
Hugo Ekitike has been electrifying at times for Liverpool this term, and his 11 league goals to date is a more than respectable return.
The Frenchman is far from a flat-track bully, even if the bulk of his goals have come against sides in the bottom half of the table.
Ekitike gave West Ham plenty of problems last weekend, and it only took him five minutes to open the scoring.
Wolves will have a game plan for Ekitike, but he could tear that up. I love a good special, and for my second tip, I’m going with Ekitike to grab a double.
Tip 3: Liverpool to Win & BTTS, Mohamed Salah Anytime Assist, Dominik Szoboszlai Yellow Card
Liverpool may be unpredictable, but they have a stronghold over Wolves, judging by the head-to-head record. To kick off your bet builder, Liverpool to win & BTTS is inviting.
Mohamed Salah may have struggled for goals since his return from AFCON, but he’s been popping up with assists. The Egyptian maestro to provide an assist across the 90 minutes is worth tapping up.
Wrap things up by leaning into the cards market. Dominik Szoboszlai never shirks a challenge, and he’s picked up six yellow cards this term for his troubles. The defender to go into the referee’s book is worth adding to your bet builder.
