Charlie McCann's Horse Racing Tips Thursday, 15 October - Perth & Fontwell
Charlie heads to Perth on Thursday for his best bet

It's a busy day of racing action in the UK and Ireland, and Charlie McCann is here with his exclusive free horse racing tips - only at FreeBets.
The ground was described as good to soft (soft in places) on Wednesday morning at Perth, with the possibility of further showers overnight and on race day.
The valuable 2m Beginners Chase has attracted only four runners, but they include Kabral Du Mathan and Hold The Serve. The former was in the process of turning the Stayers' Hurdle into a procession until his stamina gave way after the last, while the latter was another who failed to stay 3m on his last start (3m handicap hurdle) at Aintree.
Both could make up into top class novice chasers this term, although another half mile would not go amiss. If there is an Arkle horse in the field, it is Kabral Du Mathan, but a race best watched. I would be surprised if leading owner Max McNeil did not make the journey north, as he has Old Habits and Thunder Rock – as well as Hold The Serve – all running on the card, and all three will have their supporters.
3:40pm Perth - Orderoftheday
The first division of the 2m4f handicap chase is a cracker, and ORDEROFTHEDAY is only 2lbs higher than when getting up close home at Uttoxeter on chase debut when last seen in May.
A winner between the flags, the selection looked to be going nowhere three out but was given a Bowen special of a ride and beat Queensbury Boy a neck on ground, arguably softer than ideal. The second went on to land the Summer Plate at Market Rasen, and Olly Murphy's six-year-old should have the race run to suit, given recent Sedgefield winner Tanking Along – can jump left – should ensure a decent test.
Dan Skelton has sent a good team north, and his chase debutant Minella Marathon has had a wind operation since last seen. He has an exemplary record fresh and has the size and scope to leave his hurdle form well behind now sent chasing.
Sandy Thompson has not saddled a winner for 115 days, but that is only five runners, and he had a couple of inmates run well in defeat in the last week. Bridge Court has no history of going well fresh, and he is overlooked today, but he is another who I believe will be winning more races over fences this term.
Recommendation: Orderoftheday - 5/2 with bet365
4:15pm Perth - Kado Sacree (Nap)
British trainers will be bleating about the lack of rain and underfoot conditions, but they do have the ability to transport their horses north in search of slower ground and the Dan Skelton (4) and Olly Murphy (12) runners have added quality and substance to the card. Murphy (2) and Team Russell/Scudamore (4) have six of the nine runners in Division II of the 2m4f handicap chase, which does not look as competitive as the first division.
The grey KADO SACREE (Nap) has improved since stepped up in trip, having won his last couple over timber for Murphy, including over course and distance from a 6lbs lower mark back in May. I wasn't overly enamoured with his high head carriage from the last here in the spring, but connections believe he will make a better chaser than hurdler and the tongue-tie, applied for the first time here in the spring, is retained by Murphy, who could have a very good day.
Recommendation: Kado Sacree (Nap) - 15/8 with bet365
This is Charlie's Nap of the Day selection - see how it stacks up against Alan Kelly's pick too.
4:04pm Fontwell - Roi Du Risk (Each-Way)
Diplomatic Ash is a dual course winner over fences and looks sure to have his supporters for Team Moore, but my two against the field in the 2m3f+ handicap chase are top-weight Koukeo and chasing debutant ROI DU RISK (Each-Way) , with preference for the latter who is bred to appreciate the switch to the larger obstacles.
Trained by Henrietta Knight, the five-year-old had the 120-rated Orderoftheday (see above) back in third when scoring at Leicester last Christmas over the minimum trip. A Bumper winner here previously, the gelding is related to a couple of chase winners, including brother to decent staying chaser Jubilee Express, who has a mark of 130. The selection begins life in handicaps from an opening rating of 114 and looks feasibly treated.
Recommendation: Roi Du Risk (Each-Way) - 16/1 with bet365 (4 places)

Horse racing has long been Charlie's passion - ironic, really, as he'll never pass the vet again, as sports injuries have come back to bite - with a specialism in handicap chases over jumps and 1m+ handicaps on the level.
