Charlie heads to Goodwood on Tuesday for his best bet
It's a busy day of racing action in the UK and Ireland, and Charlie McCann is here with his exclusive free horse racing tips - only at FreeBets.
The Racing Post suggests rain at Perth, but the forecast I have seen calls for only light rain from four o'clock, and the ground should be as described on Sunday morning as good.
3:50pm Goodwood - Manxman (Nap)
In the last decade, five three-year-olds have won the 2m handicap, but there is no representative from the classic generation today. It has been a good race for market leaders, with seven winning favourites in the last ten renewals, and the highest winning SP has been 3/1.
The Johnston yard have trained the winner four times in the period, and Charlie saddles Sax Appeal from the foot of the weights. There are no prices available at the time of writing, but Synergism will have his supporters having, surprisingly, been dropped a pound despite finishing third in the Northumberland Plate on his penultimate start.
The forecast rain is a concern, however, as the Sir Mark Prescott-trained four-year-old has been taken out of two recent engagements due to soft ground. If the rain stays away, he is the one to beat, but I am keen on the chances of MANXMAN (Nap), who has good course form, will relish any further rain and made a terrific comeback when fifth at York's Ebor meeting despite being a tad fresh on his first start for almost twelve months.
Simon and Ed Crisford have booked William Buick for the six-year-old who finished second – much to my chagrin – in the Cesarewitch a couple of years ago. The second leg of the autumn double is likely to be the main end-of-season target, but he can take this prize en route to Newmarket.

4:32pm Leicester - Gaspacho
The valuable 10f handicap for fillies and mares is an absolute belter with many of the leading yards represented with unexposed three-year-olds.
Dove Tail was well on top – despite winning by just three-quarters of a length – when landing a Lingfield Novice last time for the Gosdens' and she and The King and Queen's, Queen's Companion are much respected but I was impressed with the Newmarket nursery win of GASPACHO when last seen at the beginning of November over 9f and she can leave her rivals cold and defy a 10lbs rise and 311-day absence from the track.
The filly has won two of her three career starts and the Haggas yard are striking at 25% in the last fortnight. Both her wins as a juvenile came with a bit of cut in the ground, and she should appreciate underfoot conditions described as good to soft on Monday morning at Leicester.
One slight concern is that she wore a tongue-tie for her Newmarket success, but the aid is left off this afternoon. The step up to 10f looks sure to suit, and the hope is that the yard has their filly fully wound up for her belated seasonal reappearance.
