Huddersfield v Bolton Tips, Predictions & Betting Odds
The football weekend begins early this week, with a League One clash on Thursday night as Huddersfield host Bolton.
The home side had a chance to rest and regroup during the international break, while Bolton played, though they were thumped 3-0 by Burton Albion.
Both sit outside the playoffs as we head into the weekend, but there's expectations for sure, especially at Huddersfield, who were one of the betting favourites for this league at the start of the season.

Exclusively on Free Bets, here are my three tips for Thursday's game.
Tip 1: Match Result - Draw & Under 2.5 Goals
I've seen both teams play live this season, and neither really lived up to the hype surrounding them and their promotion chances if I'm being honest.
Since then, there's not been much in the way of forward movement, so I'll start my football tips with a bet on the draw here.
I think it's simply a case of both teams being good enough to avoid defeat, but neither good enough to win it.
Rather than sticking with just the draw, I'll add in under 2.5 goals to boost the odds.
In the last six games in all competitions, Huddersfield have managed just three goals, scoring once on three occasions, and being kept off the scoresheet in the other three.
They scored 11 in their opening five games, for comparison, and that's what has slowed their progress, they've taken a real dive going forward, and are struggling to create anywhere near the same amount of chances.
For Bolton, it's the contrast in goals scored at home compared to goals scored away that really sticks out. At home, 12 goals in their last four games in all competitions, they're flying.
But away? That's a different story, they've scored just three away goals from six games, and have been kept off the scoresheet in their last two away games, at Burton and Northampton, two of the smaller teams in the division.
Those six away games have seen three defeats (all without scoring) and three 1-1 draws, any of those would make this bet a winner.
Tip 2: Bolton to Win the Second Half
There's a pattern emerging with Bolton away from home. They're playing a more defensive style, and I think that's why they're not matching the success they've had at home.
But digging deeper, in five of their six away games so far, they've been behind at the break, it shows they're not playing as well when trying to play more defensive.
The three draws they've claimed on the road have all seen them be behind at half time, before coming back to get a point in the second half, when they've switched to a more attacking style, in a bid to get back into the game.
When I saw Bolton live, this happened, and while there was a red card in the game to change things, they definitely had way more attacking intent after the break.
I think there's legs in this happening again, so I will back Bolton to win the second half of this game.
Tip 3: Draw, Goal Both Halves, Alfie May First Goal 29/1 Bet Builder
Let's round the tips off with a bet builder, using what I've said already, and throwing in a goalscorer for good measure.
The draw is something I fancy here, as already said, I just think neither team are good enough at the minute to go out there and take control of the game and win this.
A goal in both halves is something else I like, especially with Bolton's record of starting slowly and then coming back into games in the second half.
Finally, the last element is Alfie May to score the first goal. A proven player at this level, he joined Huddersfield in the summer and while they've an embarrassment of attacking riches, he's the main man on this team.
He's only scored twice, but a couple of sub appearances, and some games out of position haven't helped that, he's been tried out wide and behind another striker, with no success.
However, the last two games have seen him start and be the main man, I'm hoping that's the case here. He will get going, and score goals, let's hope that begins with the first one in this game.
