Manchester United vs Newcastle Tips, Predictions & Latest Odds

We are deep into the busy Christmas schedule now. In a surprise there is only one game this Boxing Day despite it usually being a full round of Premier League matches.
Newcastle will be travelling to old rivals Manchester United in what looks to be an exciting matchup. The Red Devils have had a couple of bad results but will be looking to bounce back here. Also, Newcastle will be hoping to do the same after a couple of games without a win.
Manchester United vs Newcastle Tips
Here are our top three betting tips and the best free bet offers ahead of Friday night's big clash.
Tip 1: Newcastle to win & both teams to score
Newcastle is right in the middle of the table going into this Boxing Day clash against Manchester United. They sit in 11th place with 23 points and have won six games, drawn five and lost six.
So far in December, Newcastle have won twice, drawn three games and lost once in all competitions. Their game last weekend was a 2-2 draw at home to Chelsea that felt like a loss after giving up a two-goal lead.
Now they are going up against Manchester United team that have equally been inconsistent this month. In the four games they have played they have won once, drawn twice and lost once.
Last weekend they lost 2-1 away to Aston Villa but more significantly lost captain Bruno Fernades to an injury. After that game manager Ruben Amorim said that Fernades is likely to miss time. Itโs unlikely that he plays here.
Without Fernades itโs hard to see United do much as he makes them tick. Expect Newcastle to take advantage and get the win.
Tip 2: Nick Woltemade to score
Nick Woltemade has had a decent season so far considering itโs his first in the Premier League. The German international has had 26 shots with 11 of them hitting the target.
He is Newcastleโs top scorer with seven goals in the Premier League. He has also had another two goals in cup competitions. He also has recent form after scoring twice against Chelsea just last Saturday.
Expect him to give the United defenders lots of problems and have plenty of opportunities to get on the scoresheet again.
Tip 3: Bruno Guimaraes 1+ shot on target, Patrick Dorgu to be shown a card & Nick Woltemade to score
Bruno Guimaraes is always a threat from the midfield and loves to have a shot. The captain of Newcastle has had 23 shots this season in the league with ten of them hitting the target. In his last four league games Guimaraes has had eight shots with six of them hitting the target.
Patrick Dorgu was straight back in the team as we predicted against Aston Villa last week thanks to players going to AFCON. He has been booked four times already this season and is always liable for a card against a combative Newcastle team.
Finally add Nick Woltemade to score anytime. The German international scored twice against Chelsea last week and is their main threat in the box.
