Zurich Classic of New Orleans Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans returns this week and once again provides one of the most unusual tests on the PGA Tour schedule. First played in 1938, the event switched to its current two-man team format in 2017, with pairs competing across fourball and foursomes sessions at TPC Louisiana.
The setup continues to produce low scoring and gives less-fancied duos a genuine chance of landing a PGA Tour title. Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak showed that 12 months ago when they edged out Rasmus and Nicolai Hojgaard by a shot at 28-under-par. Griffin returns to Louisiana now as a three-time Tour winner, while Novak is still chasing his first individual success.
TPC Louisiana is usually there to be attacked and, with another warm week forecast in New Orleans, plenty of birdies and big swings on the leaderboard look likely once again.
Our Freebets.com golf expert Ben Smith is here with his golf tips ahead of this week's action in Louisiana.

Tip 1: Winner - Sam Stevens & Zach Bauchou (Each-Way)
Sam Stevens and Zach Bauchou make plenty of appeal heading into this week's Zurich Classic. Former Oklahoma State teammates, they already have the sort of chemistry that can make a big difference in a team event, and both head to Louisiana playing well.
Stevens is playing some of the best golf of his career. He followed a top-five finish in Houston with an encouraging Masters debut and looks a much more complete player than he did 12 months ago. His length off the tee is a major asset around TPC Louisiana, while his improved iron play gives him every chance of creating plenty of birdie looks. He also has useful course form after finishing fourth here in 2024.
Bauchou is making his first start in this event but his steady all-round game should fit the format nicely. He has already put together several good finishes this season and should complement Stevens nicely.
Tip 2: John Parry & Dan Brown (Each-Way)
John Parry and Dan Brown catch the eye this week. The two Englishmen are close friends and often spend time together on the road, something that can only help in an event where understanding and trusting your partner is so important.
Parry has settled impressively into his first PGA Tour season, making every cut and producing solid results at the Sony Open, Puerto Rico Open and Texas Open. His consistency has been the standout and he heads to Louisiana in good order.
Brown's results have been more mixed, but there have still been encouraging signs. He finished inside the top 20 at the Sony Open and also went well at Torrey Pines earlier in the year. With both players comfortable alongside one another, they look capable of outrunning their odds.
Tip 3: Winner - Billy Horschel & Tom Hoge (Each-Way)
Billy Horschel and Tom Hoge bring plenty of course knowledge to this week's Zurich Classic. Horschel has always been comfortable at TPC Louisiana, winning the old individual event here before later claiming the team title alongside Scott Piercy. He was also runner-up with Sam Burns in 2022, so few players in the field can match his record at this venue.
Hoge is another who tends to enjoy Pete Dye layouts. Although his recent finishes have been modest, his approach play remains one of the sharper weapons in the field and that is often enough to create plenty of chances around this course. If Horschel can sharpen up around the greens, this experienced duo could easily feature on Sunday.
Tip 4: Winner - Chad Ramey & Justin Lower (Each-Way)
Chad Ramey has quietly built an excellent record in this event and returns with Justin Lower after the pair finished inside the top 10 last year.
Ramey has now made nine cuts from 10 starts this season and arrives off the back of another solid run of results. Lower has not produced many headlines in 2026 but he remains a dependable partner in this format. There is plenty to like about a partnership that already has a top-10 finish here on its record.
