Charlie McCann's Horse Racing Tips Tuesday, 25 August - Musselburgh & Lingfield
Charlie heads to Lingfield on Tuesday for his best bet

It's a busy day of racing action in the UK and Ireland, and Charlie McCann is here with his exclusive free horse racing tips - only at FreeBets.
3:15pm Musselburgh - Amber Hamur
Ed Bethell's three-year-old filly AMBER HAMUR has form figures of 2-1-1 on turf, having won at Ripon and Hamilton on her last couple of starts, and she has only been raised 8lbs for that brace of successes.
Those wins came at a mile (Ripon) and an extended mile at Hamilton, and this slight step up in distance to nine furlongs should hold no terrors. Connor Bradley keeps the ride on the daughter of Saxon Warrior who cost 80,000 gns as a yearling and is bred to be better than a sixty-five rated filly. She can continue her climb up the handicap.
Balmoral Boy may not have quite got home over 10f at Ripon last time, and this furlong shorter trip will suit.
He remains a maiden after seven starts, but his last outing suggested that he could win a race, and he runs from the same mark today.
Recommendation: Amber Hamur - 7/4 with bet365
4:00pm Lingfield - Viking Glory (Nap)
James Owen inherited the three-year-old VIKING GLORY (Nap) back in April with a handicap mark of 69, having run well in defeat up to a mile in four starts previously for Adrian Keatley.
Owen proceeded to run him over an inadequate five and six furlongs in his first four starts for the yard, and got his handicap mark down to fifty-eight. He appreciated the step back up in distance when getting off the mark stepped back up to 7f at Brighton last time under Cieren Fallon.
He wore both a tongue-tie and cheekpieces on the south coast, and the headgear combination is retained today. He has been raised 5lbs - and makes his Polytrack debut today - but is well drawn in three and is taken to follow up. Fallon retains the ride.
Recommendation: Viking Glory (Nap) - 7/4 with bet365
4:15pm Musselburgh - Edmond Halley
Three last time out winners in the field in a terrific 7f handicap, with course specialist Monhammer, hat-trick seeking Luminous Warrior and Sir David all likely to have their supporters.
The vote, however, goes to another Bethell-trained runner, EDMOND HALLEY, who has hinted that he is worth a try at this 7f trip when a never-nearer third at Catterick last time. He was posted three wide from a poor draw around the bend into the home straight but dived to the inside two furlongs out.
He has been well backed in his last couple of starts and finished well over 6f last time, but it would be wrong to say that he has been screaming out that he is a winner-in-waiting.
Well drawn in stall two this afternoon, he might be overlooked in the betting, and I will take a chance on his stamina stretching out to a seventh furlong, although there are mixed messages on breeding.
Recommendation: Edmond Halley - 13/2 with bet365
