Of course, since I’m predicting a draw, that means I’m expecting this one to go to extra time, such is the way of the FA Cup these days.
If the game does indeed make it that far, you would expect things to become even more cagey as one lapse in concentration could send either side out of the cup.
Given they have the home advantage, and more momentum than Newcastle with three wins in their last five, it would be difficult not to side with the hosts in the event of a penalty shoot-out.

These two teams have been among the most disciplined Premier League sides this season, with Villa sitting fourth in the fair play table, just ahead of sixth-placed Newcastle.
They’ve both picked up 37 yellow cards in 26 games, an average of 1.4 per game – only Arsenal and Manchester United have had fewer yellow cards in the league.
Newcastle have shown tremendous discipline in two of their toughest away matches in recent weeks – picking up no cards away to Manchester City and only one card away to Paris St-Germain.
Likewise, Villa picked up zero cards in their recent meeting with Brentford, so both teams have it in their locker to stay out of the referee’s notebook.
Indeed, the last meeting between these two sides yielded just three yellow cards, two of which came late in the game. Football betting sites suggest both teams are likely to pick up at least one booking, but that opens up value on the other side of the market.
