Following Wednesday’s come-from-behind win away to Napoli in the Champions League, Chelsea have won four in a row in all competitions and Rosenior has two wins from two in the league.
Both of those Premier League wins have come via a two-goal margin, with a 2-0 win at home to Brentford and a 3-1 win away to Crystal Palace.
The Blues have been prolific under Rosenior, with 16 scored in six games, although 11 of those goals have come away from home, so the home support may need to be patient when the Hammers visit.
It’s a big ask for West Ham to get anything at the Bridge, so I expect Chelsea to control the game but without much urgency given their midweek excursion. A 2-0 home win is generously priced at 8/1 on the best betting sites.
Tip 2: Joao Pedro to score first
Summer signing Joao Pedro has found his form again with four goals in five games since Rosenoir took over, including two beauties in Naples.
Indeed, he’s actually on a run of seven goals in his last 13 in all competitions, and in that sort of form you might expect the Brazilian to be favourite in the first goal market.
That is not the case, however, with betting apps making Cole Palmer the 9/2 favourite to break the deadlock on the back of his impact off the bench on Wednesday.
The England international returned from injury and set up two goals to help Chelsea overturn a half-time deficit. He’s expected to make the starting line-up against West Ham, hence the bookies have handed him a short price to score at 6/5.
That has opened up value on in-form Pedro, who is 13/10 to score anytime, though the braver prediction is to back the striker to net first at a best price of 11/2 with Unibet.

Given the short turnaround from Chelsea’s trip to Italy, the home side could be a little fatigued and may need to conserve energy if they are to control this game.
Nuno Espírito Santo has clearly prioritised defensive stability since coming in as West Ham manager, and his influence is finally starting to sink in with the squad.
Last time out, they limited Sunderland – one of the surprise packages of the Premier League campaign – to just two shots on target in a 3-1 win, the lowest they’ve faced all season.
Nuno will be looking for more of the same at Stamford Bridge, and if the hosts are indeed tired from their Champions League duties, the visitors might be able to frustrate Chelsea for long periods of the game.
