PSG vs Liverpool Champions League Tips, Predictions & Odds

PSG and Liverpool will duke it out on Wednesday evening in the first leg of a mouthwatering Champions League quarter-final tie.
The Parc des Princes will set the scene, and this fixture represents a matchup between the reigning European champions and a team with a storied history in the competition who have regressed this season.

PSG vs Liverpool Tips
How will things unravel? Our preview includes juicy betting tips to consider ahead of kick-off.
Tip 1: PSG to Win to Nil
As far as domestic matters are concerned, PSG has everything in order, and they are four points clear at the top of Ligue 1, following a 3-1 victory at home to Toulouse last Friday.
They have also made a stellar defence of their Champions League title, and they made Chelsea look mediocre in the Round of 16, storming to an emphatic 8-2 aggregate victory.
It marked the Blues’ joint-heaviest defeat in Europe’s elite competition over two legs, and PSG ran rampant.
PSG have a formidable record in the latter stages of the Champions League, winning their last four Champions League quarter-final ties, and they have lost only one of their past 10 UEFA matches against English opposition (W7 D2).
Liverpool, meanwhile, who have dropped off a cliff in the Premier League, were humiliated by Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-final. They succumbed to a 4-0 loss at the Etihad, and Arne Slot is coming under increasing pressure.
PSG may have lost at home to Liverpool last season, but I don’t envisage a repeat result. For the purpose of value, I’m going with PSG to win and keep a clean sheet.
Tip 2: Under 2.5 Goals
Having produced a toothless performance away to City, Liverpool will be at a low ebb. More worryingly, Mohamed Salah, who has been accustomed to being a thorn in the side of City over the years, was below par.
Salah, who will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, has been far from clinical, and he’s had troubles from the penalty spot, missing against City in the FA Cup and against Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Anyway, the previous two clashes between PSG and Liverpool have hardly been high scoring, and the Over 2.5 goals line hasn’t been fulfilled. I’ve therefore gone with the Under 2.5 goals line as my second tip.
Tip 3: PSG to Win, Under 2.5 Goals, First Goalscorer (Ousmane Dembele)
Kickstart your bet builder with PSG to boss this contest, and take an advantage heading into the second leg.
This matchup, as proved by the past two encounters, has hardly been goal-laden, so add Under 2.5 goals to your slip.
Ousmane Dembele, who netted a double against Toulouse in Ligue 1, opened the scoring against Liverpool at Anfield 13 months ago in the second leg of their Round of 16 tie, and he could break the deadlock this time too.
