After a stunning week for the national team, domestic football returns this weekend with a full round of league fixtures taking place.
Kai Watson, the Free Bets Scottish football expert, reveals his top SPFL betting tips and weekend predictions across all four Scottish leagues.

Here are Kai's five top football tips for the weekend, including the best available odds from the leading UK betting sites.
Rangers vs Livingston
Rangers have looked better under Danny Rohl and having only won one league game before his arrival (in the reverse fixture against Livingston) have now won the last three. They comfortably beat Kilmarnock, eventually, 3-1 at Ibrox, had an impressive 1-0 away win against Hibs then easily brushed aside Dundee 3-0 at Dens last time out.
Thereโs much more of a cohesion to Rangers play, particularly defensively and they havenโt really looked like conceding which is a massive departure from how they looked under Russell Martin. Going forward itโs also looking better as well, there seems to be some patterns of play and the players look like they know whatโs expected of them. Although, the quality of chances created is still lesser than, Iโd imagine, the manager would like.
Livingston sit bottom having only won one game so far and havenโt won since the second game of the season when they beat Falkirk. They couldnโt even win the reverse fixture last time out despite having an incredible record against John McGlynnโs side over the last year!
There is still hope though as one win, currently, could take them as high as eight in the table but I donโt foresee that win coming here and I think theyโll struggle to keep Rangers below three goals on Saturday.
Kilmarnock vs Motherwell
Kilmarnock have hit a horrendous run of form after looking like they could be in for a good season given their start. Stuart Kettlewell surprised many with his side only losing one in their first seven games, however, they havenโt won since.
Thereโs been at least three goals in four of the games and three of the games actually contained four goals and their aggregate score in the last five is a shocking 14-2. Killie had scored eleven in seven to start the season but the five losses and only two goals in the last five has given fans a reality check and their season is now going the way that many predicted.
Motherwell have impressed a lot of people with their style of football but just couldnโt turn good performances into points. Then they won two in a row against Livingston and Dundee United before drawing against Aberdeen last time out.
Now they sit in sixth and will be hoping to build on their three match unbeaten run to attempt to push further up the table. Motherwellโs forwards have struggled to get in amongst the goals but Kilmarnock have been so bad defensively that I donโt think that will matter.
As with most games involving Motherwell so far this season, I think it could be a cracker!
Partick Thistle vs St Johnstone
Going into this one, both teams have won three, lost one and drawn one of their last five. The last meeting at the beginning of the season, which was the first in seven years, ended in a 5-1 home win for St. Johnstone. Since then though, Partick have only lost one game in thirteen which was a surprise loss to Raith at the end of October.
Although there were doubts at the beginning of his tenure, Mark Wilson has done superbly well with a side that not many thought would be title challengers. A win in this game and then winning their game in hand would take them level on points at the top.
On the other hand, a St. Johnstone win would take them nine clear with Partickโs game in hand coming on Tuesday but itโs a tough fixture against promotion chasing Dunfermline.
St. Johnstone have scored fourteen in their last five whilst conceding six, Partick have scored nine whilst conceding four in their last five. Both teams have been excellent going forward and I think may struggle to keep the other out.
This is a massive game at the top of the table and could have real repercussions for the season going forward. Who do you fancy in this top two clash?
Cove Rangers vs Alloa
Alloa are the only team in League One that havenโt lost in their last five and theyโve been storming up the table over the last month and now sit in second. Theyโve scored ten whilst only conceding one in the last five and have kept clean sheets in the last three games in a row.
Although Cove won last time out theyโre still rooted to the bottom of the table, it was a brilliant victory against Hamilton which shocked the league but was only their second win of the season.
Cove have scored the lowest amount of goals in the league and Alloa have the joint best defensive record in the league, I can only see this one being a 0-0 or a comfortable victory for Alloa. Itโs really tight at the top so if they want to keep the pressure on Inverness, who are currently three points clear, then these are the types of games they need to be winning.
East Kilbride vs Edinburgh City
If there was ever a game in the Scottish League Two that was going to have goals in it, I think it would be this one. In the thirteen matches East Kilbride have played so far thereโs been 45 goals, Edinburgh City have played the same amount of games and thereโs 40 goals in their matches.
Edinburgh City are obviously much better than their league position suggests and without the point deduction they would be sitting fifth in the table instead of bottom. East Kilbride have closed the gap on Spartans the last two weeks as the league leaders have drawn twice and Mick Kennedyโs side won both games meaning the gap is now only two points.
If you want to see goals this week, get yourself over to K Park for what should be a cracker!
