Tips - Horse Racing
Alan Kelly's tips and Charlie McCann's tips see them head to Aintree and Doncaster on Saturday for their Nap of the Day selections.
Charlie's best bet is Don't Mind If I Do, who looks well treated on his seasonal return for Alan King after a consistent novice campaign that included a Wincanton victory and a strong second to the 143-rated Regent's Stroll. Starting from an appealing mark of 120 and with Tom Bellamy in the saddle, he's fancied to make a winning start to the new campaign.
Alan's Nap selection is Danielle, who was runner-up in this race 12 months ago and ran a fine fifth in the Qipco British Champions Fillies' & Mares at Ascot last month. Back on more suitable ground and facing a weaker renewal, the John & Thady Gosden filly looks the one to beat under James Doyle.
Tips - Greyhound Racing
Our greyhound tips, provided by Craig Jones, feature two selections for Saturday from Monmore.
Craig's first selection is Whisky On Fire in the 7:06pm D3 sprint, who looks well placed to make the most of a drop in grade. The youngster has shaped better since switching to sprints, finishing second in stronger D2 company last time, and with further improvement likely, she's fancied to strike here.
Next up is Air Flyer at 7:56pm, who makes his debut at the track in what looks like a winnable open race. He's been campaigned exclusively in opens at Nottingham, Sheffield, and Towcester, and his form suggests he'll stay this trip well. While he's sure to improve for the run, he rates as a solid contender to make an immediate impact.
