Ole Gunnar Solskjaer completely transformed the atmosphere at Manchester United after replacing Jose Mourinho. The Norwegian found life tougher in the latter stages of last season though and has a tough task to get the best out of a squad that many believe to be sub-par for a club of United’s stature.
The main target for Solskjaer is securing a place in the top four. Everybody at Manchester United believes the club belongs in the Champions League but nothing is handed to you in the Premier League. Competition for a place in the top four is set to be as tough as ever and the question is whether Solskjaer’s inexperience will cost the team or if his exciting approach to the game will enthuse and motivate his players.
The investment in Daniel James (£15m) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£50m) could pay dividends in the future but Manchester United need to add high quality, proven Premier League players to their squad, and fast.
Attracting players is proving tougher than ever without Champions League football which only adds to the pressure for a top four finish, or maybe even victory in the Europa League.

Manchester United Premier League Betting Odds
Manchester United are as big as 33/1 to win the Premier League with 888Sport. That is almost embarrassingly big for the Premier League’s most successful team but it’s not big enough to tempt us to have a bet.
Make no mistake, it would take a minor miracle for United to win the title given the strength of Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham.
They do have the attacking quality to suggest they could go well in the cup competitions with the Europa League looking a real target.
