Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2-Ball Betting Tips

The PGA Tour remains rooted in California this week for the highly-anticipated Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Designated as one of the eight Signature Events, the Pro-Am will see the pros team up with amateurs for the first two days, and the following two rounds over the weekend will see the serious stuff take place.
There is a smaller field for the main competition (80 players), and there is likely to be much fanfare for the return of Scottie Scheffler.
Pebble Beach, which is one of the shortest layouts on the PGA Tour calendar at just under 7,000 yards, may be quite tricky with a premium placed on tight iron play.
Wyndham Clark will be the hunted as he held off Ludvig Aberg by one shot last year (-17) in a weather-affected tournament to take the prize of £3 million and he pocketed 700 FedEx Cup points.
Earlier this week, I offered insights into the golf betting tips outrights markets. This time, I’ve handpicked some 2-ball betting tips with the first round looming so let’s get stuck in, plus our best golf betting offers from the top online bookmakers.
Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2-Ball Betting Tips - Round One
Ludvig Aberg to beat Rory McIlroy
A stellar pairing, it will be intriguing to see how Rory McIlroy fares playing his first PGA Tour tournament in 2025.
Despite being a staunch advocate of the Tour, McIlroy’s comments about it being “diminished” by the overloaded schedule made for interesting reading.
The Ulsterman had a decent opening spell on the DP World Tour, and while he clinched a couple of PGA Tour titles last term, Pebble Beach proved to be a black mark on his copybook.
A T66 meant he was well adrift of the pace, and things unravelled in the second round where he shot a 74.
Ludvig Aberg, meanwhile, may have had a disastrous final round of 79 at the Farmers Insurance Open, but before that, he finished T5 at The Sentry.
This could end up being a birdie fest, but for the first of my 2-ball betting tips, I’m going with Aberg to leave McIlroy in the shade.
Scottie Scheffler to beat Brian Harman
It’s all about Scheffler, isn’t it? He’s had some time to think about his mishap in the kitchen making ravioli where he sustained a hand injury.
The American had a stunning 2024 where he hoisted seven PGA Tour titles and claimed gold at the Paris Olympics.
He’s strong from tee to green, and across key performance metrics, he topped the rankings.
Brian Harman, meanwhile, was forced to watch on at The American Express after missing the cut, but he can blow hot and cold.
Scheffler is trading as the short-priced favourite with the bookies to win this weekend, and I’m plumping on him to see off Harman in Round 1.
Tommy Fleetwood to beat Keegan Bradley
Keegan Bradley, who will skipper the US Ryder Cup team, has got off to a fabulous start in 2025.
Indeed, he will be making his fourth start this year, and in his previous three appearances, he hasn’t finished lower than 15th.
To a certain extent, he has been rolling back the years, and Pebble Beach could be to his liking.
Tommy Fleetwood also relishes a links layout, but he’s still searching for his first win stateside.
Putting is one area that the Englishman will be looking to improve on, but he will also need to scramble well if he’s to have a productive week.
I incorporated Fleetwood into a special to be in the final pairing on Sunday, and I’m siding with him to see off Bradley.
