EFL Tips: 25/1 Longshot Acca
Here are Gab's five tips for the weekend along with the best prices and latest odds from our top sports betting sites.
Ipswich vs Swansea - Ipswich to win
Ipswich Town’s 5-3 loss at Wrexham last weekend was somewhat uncharacteristic of Kieran McKenna’s side, who have conceded just 29 goals in their other 31 league matches.
What’s important, though, is that the Tractor Boys bounced back in midweek, with a professional 2-0 victory at Watford, limiting their hosts to just two shots on target.
Broadly, the pairing of Dara O’Shea and Cedric Kipre have been imperious this season, while Dan Neil has looked an excellent addition in midfield, offering the athleticism to complement the neat footballing qualities of Azor Matusiwa.
The Suffolkians might be six points off the top two, but they also have two games in hand, seven home fixtures still to play and some favourable away ones: they’re keen to hammer home the message that they’re still very much in the running for automatic promotion.
For midtable Swansea, on the other hand, the excitement is more off the pitch than on it: investor Snoop Dog attended his first game against PNE in midweek.
Exeter vs Bolton - Bolton to win
As far as automatic promotion is concerned, Bolton Wanderers are approaching last chance saloon.
The Trotters could only manage a 2-2 draw at home to relegation strugglers Blackpool last time out which, with Lincoln winning at Mansfield, left Steven Schumacher’s side 10 points off the top two, having played a game more than their current incumbents.
Wanderers have a tough run-in from April, and a comparative favourable March; they have to win at least five of their next six to stay in the conversation, and hope star man Amario Cozier-Duberry can return for the crunch fixtures.
Saturday’s trip to Exeter, though, is as good an opportunity as any to close the gap, with the midtable Grecians winless in six.
Rotherham vs Plymouth - Plymouth to win
After four straight defeats, Rotherham seem to be getting worse by the week, and with the threat of relegation looming, questions are increasingly asked of boss Matt Hamshaw.
The Millers find themselves five points adrift of safety, and are showing few signs of resurgence; they seem to have run out of ideas, and even more worryingly, out of fight.
Visitors Plymouth Argyle, then, have the perfect opportunity to move within a point of the 50-mark, with two full months of the season to play, if they can secure all three points in South Yorkshire.
The Devonians have won each of their last three league games, scoring 12 goals in the process, as the partnership of Lorent Tolaj and Aribim Pepple starts to take effect.
Bromley vs Accrington - Bromley to win
Bromley extended their unbeaten run to 15 league games in the weekend’s goalless draw at Harrogate, although they also took their winless run to three.
The Ravens didn’t play well in North Yorkshire, with their struggling hosts the better team on the day, but the fact they came home with a point in their bucket in spite of that, having arguably still created two of the best moments of the match, suggests an underlying steeliness and dogged efficiency about Andy Woodman’s side.
The South London outfit defended their penalty box well, with Jesse Debrah settling in well alongside Omar Sowunmi after the departure of Deji Elerewe in January, while long-serving goalkeeper Grant Smith made a string of fine saves.
So, if their attacking players like Mitch Pinnock, Ben Krauhaus and Michael Cheek can rediscover their peak form, Bromley should get back to winning ways against Accrington Stanley.
John Doolan’s side are enjoying a thoroughly progressive campaign, sitting midtable on a bottom end budget with a limited squad, but they’ve lost three of their last four.
Crewe vs Tranmere - Crewe to win
Crewe have been one of League Two’s form sides in 2026, with Lee Bell’s men accruing 21 points from 11 league games, following a 2-1 victory at promotion contenders Swindon last time out.
The Play-Off candidates pride themselves on an excellent academy, and have three homegrown prospects starting to hit their stride, in solid right-back Lewis Billington, forward-thinking midfielder Matus Holicek and creative wide man Calum Agius.
With that in mind, it’s surprising that the Alex can be backed at odds-against quotes for their hosting of lower midtable Tranmere, who have lost eight of their last nine, been decimated by injuries this season, and are in a state of flux.
Crewe should get the win they need to ensure they finish the weekend inside the top seven.
