Kai Watson's Ranger v Celtic Tips
Kai is back with his Rangers v Celtic tips for Sunday's huge Old Firm clash at Ibrox.
I donโt think either set of fans are particularly looking forward to the first Old Firm game of this season. Celtic suffered an embarrassing penalty loss against Kairat Almaty, a team ranked lower than St. Johnstone, which has seen them drop into the Europa League for this season.
Rangers then went out on Wednesday and delivered an utterly embarrassing performance away in Brugge. Like the first leg, they gave away an early goal then Max Aarons picked up an absolutely ridiculous red card which genuinely looked deliberate. The players werenโt up to the standard that anyone expected and the fans have almost unanimously turned on the manager.
Chants rang round the away end asking him to leave whilst there was a banner put up on the gates at Ibrox suggesting the same. He will remain in charge for Sunday but I think most are expecting it to be his final game in charge.
Celtic will be hoping that Michel-Ange Balikwisha will be fit enough to at least play some part in the game, given how theyโve lacked a cutting edge in the final third so far this season. Adam Idah looks set to depart to Swansea in what, by all accounts, was an unexpected move so Shin Yamada could lead the line or Maeda could play through the middle. Although, the latter has been so effective off of the left against Rangers in his time at the club.
Rangers will be hoping the Bojan Miovski deal is done by Sunday as Dessers looks likely to leave and Danilo has been poor so far this season, Rangers also massively lack bite and cutting edge in the forward areas.
Celtic have won all their league games so far whilst Rangers have drawn all three of theirs and are still searching for a bit of positivity when it comes to performances and results. Celtic are favourites, rightly so, but this could be an interesting one given how the games went last season.
Celtic - Over 5.5 shots on target
With the amount of space Rangers leave in behind and the amount of shots theyโve conceded already itโs genuinely conceivable that Celtic could have well over 20 shots on Sunday. Players wander about freely, arenโt marked at set-pieces and donโt close down the space in this Russell Martin system, or at least thatโs what has happened so far.
This will lead to Celtic having plenty of the ball in and around Rangers box with opportunity to get shots away.
Daizen Maeda to score or assist
Maeda has been a thorn in Rangers side since he joined Celtic and no Rangers right back, apart from Leon Balogun once, has been able to deal with him. If Max Aarons is playing (he shouldnโt) then I think the Japanese international will run him ragged.
Rangers have been awful defensively and will leave plenty of gaps in behind which he will definitely take advantage of and get chances for himself and have a chance at creating for others.

Scottish Football Tips - Weekly Predictions from Freebets
Scottish football is a world full of tradition and surprises, making it an excellent focus for fans and anyone interested in betting.
Whether you follow big clubs like Celtic and Rangers as fans or are new to the Scottish leagues, having some helpful betting tips can make things more enjoyable and interesting. We may even improve your betting choices from time to time!
SPFL Betting Tips
Start by getting to know the basics. The Scottish Premiership, the top league, is often led by Celtic and Rangers. Usually too strong for the rest, but other clubs like Hearts, Hibernian, and others, can pull off unexpected wins, shocking the big two.
One point to remember is that the Scottish weather can quietly affect games a little more than in other parts of the UK, though of course, players are generally used to it. Scotlandโs cold, wet, and windy, sometimes even in summer, and this can all change how matches play out.
Like any other football league, how a team has been playing recently is very important.
In Scotlandโs smaller league system, teams face each other a little more often, so recent results, both in terms of last fixtures and previous head to head meetings, can tell you a lot. With this, it's important for you to be as up to date as the best betting sites with information, and recent records.
Finally, don't forget to check for things like injuries or changes in the line up. A missing key player or someone coming back can make a big difference in any football league. As you move down the footballing pyramid, injuries can often take their toll more than at the top, with smaller squads, and replacements of a lower quality the norm for many.
Scottish Lower League Betting Tips
Don't forget the lower leagues when you are looking at betting on Scottish football.
The Championship, League One, and League Two have smaller teams involved that might not get much attention. Still, these leagues can offer good opportunities for punters, especially if you become an expert in one particular league.
Alongside the league action, there are regular cup games, which add a new layer to Scottish football betting.
This can also be a minefield, though, as per other European leagues, changed teams, resting key players and how seriously these competitions are being taken by some are all additional questions that should be in your thought process before placing your bets.
