Southampton vs Arsenal Betting Tips, FA Cup Predictions & 10/1 Bet Builder

Arsenal have had two weeks to stew on their Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City and a potential quadruple could quickly become a double if they aren’t on their game against Southampton in the FA Cup.
The Gunners travel to St Mary’s for the quarter-final tie, needing a response to the underwhelming showing at Wembley, and on the rare occasions they have lost this term, they’ve bounced back in the next game with a victory.
The expectation is that Arsenal will get back to winning ways here with a Southampton win available at 11/1 on some football betting sites.
There’ll be a few punters tempted by those odds, given the Saints’ recent form, the south coast side having surged into the Championship play-off places on the back of eight wins from 10 games.
Southampton also won the last FA Cup meeting between the teams in 2021 when Arsenal were the holders.
The Gunners have come a long way since then under Mikel Arteta and should relish this test of character.

Southampton vs Arsenal Betting Tips
Check out our three betting tips and the best free bets available for Saturday’s game.
Tip 1: Draw/Arsenal double result
A lot has been made of Arsenal's withdrawals during the international break, with 11 Gooners either staying home or returning early from their national sides.
We will only really know how serious those injury concerns are when the Arsenal team sheet comes out, although the expectation is the likes of Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Leandro Trossard will be available.
There’s also the possibility of Martin Odegaard and Jurrien Timber returning from injury and it’s likely to be a pretty strong side Arteta fields.
It might need to be given Southampton’s recent form. They are unbeaten in 14 games and knocked out Premier League opposition in the last round of the FA Cup when winning 1-0 at Fulham.
The Saints team selection will be interesting too, with promotion the priority this season, and they have a big game away to fellow play-off hopefuls Wrexham to come on Tuesday.
Southampton have proven tricky to break down at home, keeping a clean sheet in five of the last eight games and may hold a makeshift Arsenal team at bay for the opening 45 minutes.
The Gunners have seen off lower league opposition in the previous three rounds of the competition playing in second or third gear, but this looks like their toughest tie so far.
Even if several players are missing through injury, Arsenal have the quality to overcome Southampton. It might just require a little patience to open up the hosts.
Tip 2: Viktor Gyokeres last goalscorer
One Arsenal player very much involved during the international break was top scorer Viktor Gyokeres, who went away with Sweden and starred in the World Cup play-offs.
The 27-year-old got a hat-trick in the play-off semi-final win against Ukraine before netting an 88th-minute winner in the final against Poland to send Sweden to the World Cup.
Gyokeres is a confidence player and his mood will have been lifted by his exploits for his home nation, which bodes well for Arsenal.
The big question here is whether Arteta will start Gyokeres after playing twice for Sweden, or give him a break with a game against his former side Sporting Lisbon to come in midweek.
I’d lean towards him coming off the bench for either Kai Havertz or Gabriel Jesus. If that is the case, a wager on Gyokeres to score the last goal is an interesting option on betting sites, with all but three of his 16 goals for the Gunners this season coming in the second half of games.
Tip 3: Under 2.5 goals, over 0.5 Leo Scienza shots on target & over 10.5 corners
All three of Arsenal’s FA Cup ties this season have gone over 2.5 goals but the expectation is that this will be a slightly more cagey affair.
Arsenal’s excellent defensive record is well-known, while the Saints have managed nine clean sheets in 19 home matches this season. They also shut out Fulham in the previous round of the cup.
Leo Scienza has missed Southampton’s last three games with a groin injury, but the exciting Brazilian winger is expected to be available on Saturday.
He’s been earning plenty of plaudits for his performances this season and will be out to make a positive impression against Arsenal.
Scienza averages over one shot on target per game this season for the Saints and will be keen to test Arsenal’s Kepa Arrizabalaga after his issues at Wembley.
Arsenal’s two previous away ties in the FA Cup this season have comfortably reached double figures for corners with the Gunners winning eight of them in each game.
Southampton win over six corners per game at home on average in the Championship so expect plenty of set pieces.
