2024 UK Championship Snooker – Favourites
Judd Trump is 5/1 with All British Casino & Sports to win the 2024 UK Championship
The world number one, Judd Trump, hasn't won this event since 2011 but his form over the past 18 months suggests that he will be in good shape as ever to make a charge towards a second UK Championship title.
Trump has already lifted titles in Shanghai and Saudi Arabia this season, has finished runner-up in Xi'an and Northern Ireland, and rarely falls early in a major tournament.
If he is to continue this impressive run, he'll have to do it the hard way; Trump faces the returning to form Neil Robertson in the opening round, fresh off the Australian beating him at last week's Champion of Champions event.
Ronnie O'Sullivan is 11/2 with All British Casino & Sports to win the 2024 UK Championship
O'Sullivan isn't playing with the consistency he was this time last year, but when you turn up to a Triple Crown event you can almost guarantee the "Rocket" to be fit, firing and tuned in.
The 48-year-old has spent a lot of this season withdrawing from tournaments or underwhelming on the baize, but off the back of five wins last season the top seed (and 8x UK Championship winner) is no doubt trying to time his form for a run at another World Championship next year.
He leads 18-3 in head-to-heads against his first-round opponent Barry Hawkins but could find a few of the in-form Chinese players tough to hurdle in the top quarter.
Kyren Wilson is 13/2 with All British Casino & Sports to win the 2024 UK Championship
There is always reluctance to expect too much from a maiden World Championship winner in the season that follows, but Wilson has stayed pretty consistent on the baize.
The 32-year-old has picked up titles at the Xi'an Grand Prix and Northern Ireland Open following his Sheffield triumph and certainly arrives in York as a potential winner.
He reached the semi-final in 2021, and seeded second this year he'll be plotting his route to the final starting with a first round encounter with Scotland's Stephen Maguire.
Mark Selby is 10/1 with All British Casino & Sports to win the 2024 UK Championship
Selby's British Open win in September was a timely reminder of how he can never be written off in major tournaments.
The "Jester" went two out of three seasons without a ranking title before that win, and like many of the more experienced players you can often guarantee him to save his best for the Triple Crown events.
He has won this title twice, and if he is to make it a trio he'll have to navigate past a tough quartet of hungry players including Jack Lisowski and Mark Allen.
2024 UK Championship Snooker – Tips
Neil Robertson is 15/2 with All British Sports & Casino to reach the 2024 UK Championship final
Neil Robertson looks back with a bang, and will be aiming to use the UK Championship as a springboard into a more positive 2025.
Great win last night to beat the best player in the world in my opinion. Started great then towards the end the physical and mental toll being the 2nd match on playing a 7 frame decider then in a flash get ready to play a best of 11 against Judd was brutal to say the least. The Australian, and former world champion, has slipped down to number 18 in the world after a couple of fruitless seasons on tour, but a win at the English Open and a positive display at the Champion of Champions means the “Thunder” is being talked about in York.
He has three UK Championships to his name and clearly enjoys the format – if he is able to get past Trump for the second time this month, then a run to the final is on.
Si Jiahui is 9/2 with All British Casino & Sports to win his quarter
There have already been seven different ranking event winners this season and there are plenty of players feeling positive on the table – Si Jiahui is one of them that could make a surprise tilt at the York title.
The 22-year-old is a ranking finalist and semi-finalist already this year, and after his impressive run to the World Championship semi-final in 2023 won’t fear any of the more experienced players in the draw.
His quarter is headlined by Mark Allen and Mark Selby who, unfortunately for him, hold a combined 7-0 record over the Chinese youngster.
But records and streaks are there to be broken, right?
