Chesterfield v Grimsby Betting Tips, Predictions & Latest Odds

With the international break taking place, many of the best betting sites are putting an extra focus on League One and League Two this weekend.
It’s no change for us though, as regular pundit and EFL expert Gab Sutton is back with his look at the biggest games of the weekend.
Chesterfield v Grimsby Preview
It feels like surprising to see Chesterfield as low as 12th in League Two, when the National League title-winners have been the better team in arguably all four of their games – yet they’ve yielded just five points.
The Spireites could only manage 1-1 home draws with Swindon and Salford, sandwiching a 5-0 thrashing of Crewe on their own turf, before a 1-0 defeat at Gillingham last weekend.
So, with the quality of Ollie Banks spraying the ball around delightfully in midfield, destroyer-by-trade Tom Naylor enjoying life as an auxiliary centre-back, and Dilan Markanday, Armando Dobra, James Berry and Will Grigg proving an awesome foursome in attack, they’re very close to a serious run of form.
That said, Grimsby have themselves enjoyed a respectable start of two wins in four, with boss David Artell starting to implement more of the slick, flowing football he wants from his team – as evidenced by Jason Dadi Svanthorsson’s cool strike in the 2-1 victory over Bradford at the weekend.
Both teams carry a threat, so both teams should find the net on Saturday.
