Having reached the Scottish Premiership playoff final last season, Raith shocked the Scottish football world by sacking coach Ian Murray after just one league of the season.
The Kirkcaldy side seemed set for a “new manager bounce” when Neill Collins guided them to a 2-0 lead against Ayr in last weekend’s SPFL Trust Trophy match. However, Rovers folded in the second half as Ayr rallied for a 3-2 victory.
Raith have been dominant in this fixture in recent seasons, winning the last five clashes against the Pars, but Dunfermline head into this clash having picked up a win and draw in their previous two games.
Home advantage could sway punters to take a chance on James McPake’s side, but the betting value could lie in backing the draw in a match neither side will be keen to lose.
Easton can strike for Raith
Dylan Easton enjoyed facing Dunfermline last season, scoring twice and chipping in with two assists against the Pars and the midfielder got on the score sheet against Ayr last weekend.
He’s a big game player for Raith and he looks overpriced to get on the scoresheet this evening at East End Park.
