Championship Weekend Preview
This round of the Championship kicked off with Friday's clash between Sunderland and Leeds. We saw a dramatic battle, and Sunderland earned a 2-2 draw thanks to Junior Firpo's own goal in injury time.
On Saturday, Burnley’s match against Preston stands out among the early kick-offs and will be broadcast live on Sky. Although the two clubs are local rivals, they are at opposite ends of the table. Burnley enter the weekend in 2nd place, while Preston are languishing in 21st.
Looking ahead to the 3pm kick-offs on Saturday, the standout fixture for me is Sheffield United versus Luton.
Both sides were relegated from the Premier League last season and are keen to make a quick return to the top tier.
Sheffield United’s campaign is going relatively well as they head into the weekend in 3rd place. Luton, on the other hand, are having a tough time, sitting 20th with only two wins from their eight games.
On Sunday, we have another match full of local rivalry as Bristol City face Cardiff.
This derby, always fiercely competitive, will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and is one to watch. Bristol City are currently mid-table, while Cardiff sit rock bottom, with just four points from a possible 24 and no permanent manager in place.
Championship Live TV Games
If you’re aiming to place bets with the best football betting sites, the televised matches are a great place to begin.
