Weekend Boxing Betting Tips
Denzel Bentley to beat Derrick Osaze by KO/TKO/Disqualification in under 7.5 Rounds
After losing his British middleweight title to Nathan Heaney in a barn-burner last November, Denzel Bentley is on the re-build in the middleweight division as he eyes up another crack at gold.
The talented 29-year-old has three losses on his record now, but all in exciting fights that, with a few tweaks, could have gone the other way.
The WBO international middleweight title is being defended by “2 Sharp” and it’s unlikely that 13-1 Derrick Osaze will be able to cope with the experience, power and ring craft of Bentley.
Osaze has lost his only other pro bout over six rounds (vs. Tyler Denny in 2021) and a fast finish by the dangerous hands of Bentley is the pick here, adding to his 16 KOs in 19 wins.
Arslanbek Makhmudov to beat Guido Vianello by KO/TKO/Disqualification
Is this going to be another unpredictable heavyweight contest to add into the history books?
Arslanbek Makhmudov is a big, big guy, but question marks now hang over his 35-year-old head after being easily outworked and stopped by Agit Kabayel in Saudi Arabia last December.
The blueprint is now there to chop down the 6′6″ Russian, but is Guido Vianello to man to do it?
The Italian – fighting out of Las Vegas – is 12-2-1 and has lost to both Jonathan Rice and Efe Ajagba in his last four fights.
Every step up has ended in failure for Vianello and it’s impossible not to think that he is going to be out banged by Makhmudov this weekend in a highlight-reel KO win.
Christian Mbilli to beat Sergiy Derevyanchenko by Decision/Technical Decision
On paper, this looks like a cross-roads fight between an up-and-coming superstar, and a faded force.
It’s now five years since Sergiy Derevyanchenko pushed Gennadiy Golovkin all the way in Madison Square Garden, but the Ukrainian has since lost three of his five fights, albeit against some world class operators.
Mbilli isn’t far off calling himself a world class operator at the age of 29.
The Frenchman, fighting out of Quebec City, Canada, is 27-0 with 23 KOs and fast making a name for himself in the 160-pound division.
Mbilli can of course bang, but Derevyanchenko is as strong and as ballsy as they come – it’ll be difficult for the favourite to hand “The Technician” the first stoppage loss of his career, so we are backing a unanimous points win for Mbilli.
