2025 World Grand Prix Tips Day 3
The second round gets underway on Wednesday in Leicester as the Darts Grand Prix notches up a gear.
It’s a second outing for the likes of Stephen Bunting, Luke Humphries and Rob Cross who all got through their opening tests unscathed, some performing better than others.
But it was the world number 35 and “Polish Eagle” Krzysztof Ratajski who arguably stole the show on day one, racking up a monstrous 95.94 en route to sweeping the 16th seeded Martin Schindler aside in two sets.
Things don’t get any easier for the Polish veteran on Wednesday.
He’s been pitted against the world number one, Luke Humphries, in what should be a cracker of a main event inside the Mattioli Arena.
Let’s take a look at some of the best darts tips for day three of the action in Leicester.
Tip 1: Stephen Bunting to beat Danny Noppert at 8/15 at with bet365
Aside from the previously mentioned Ratajski, Stephen Bunting was the star of night one putting together a 97.02 average in beating rising German star Niko Springer.
The “Bullet” dropped just two legs on his way to the second round, in a tournament where he is a two-time semi-finalist.
His recent history here isn’t great, but his form is excellent at the moment and he’s pinning doubles for fun.
Danny Noppert won a last-leg decider against Jermaine Wattimena and will be there for the taking for Bunting.
Tip 2: Gary Anderson 2+ 100+ checkouts vs Joe Cullen at 7/4 with bet365
The resurgence of Gary Anderson is great news for the world of darts.
The “Flying Scotsman” announced himself at the Grand Prix with a 2-1 win over his old mate Raymond van Barneveld in the opener, and can’t be written off as a threat as we get deeper into the tournament.
Joe Cullen — who knocked out James Wade — is up next and we’re predicting a drop of magic from the Scot.
Once Anderson is flowing, those monster checkouts are almost guaranteed, so backing at least two 100+ finishes looks good.
Tip 3: Luke Humphries to beat Krzysztof Ratajski 3-2 at 15/4 with bet365
We’re not expecting Krzysztof Ratajski to roll over and have his tummy tickled by Luke Humphries.
Ratajski may be a slow player but his precision seems to be working wonders on the starting double, looking imperious in beating Martin Schindler.
Humphries dropped just two legs against a talented Nathan Aspinall and with this title already in his trophy cabinet should have enough experience in the back to scrape past Ratajski.
3-2 looks good here in what could be an early contender for game of the tournament.
