2024 European Championship Darts – Day 4 Tips
Tips from Day 4 of the European Championship Darts in Dortmund, Germany

After a marathon Saturday of action in Dortmund, we’re down to the final eight at the 2024 European Championship.
More seeds went tumbling in the second round but the world number one, Luke Humphries, is still standing, and now down to a 4/5 odds-on FAV to win the title in Germany. Let’s take a look at some selective betting for the quarter-finals, plus the top darts betting offers from the best betting sites.
2024 European Championship Darts Tips
Check out our expert darts tips for the quarter-final action at the 2024 European Championship.
Ritchie Edhouse vs Gary Anderson – Over 16.5 legs
With wins over Gian van Veen and Michael Smith, Ritchie Edhouse is one of the stories of the week so far in Dortmund, reaching his first major quarter-final.
But when you’re in this deep to a tournament, you can expect to run into world-class trouble. Gary Anderson is next up for “Madhouse” and the Scot is playing some of his best darts at the moment.
Anderson is averaging 99 for the tournament and has already taken the scalps of Stephen Bunting and Michael van Gerwen – Edhouse will be considered small fry for the “Flying Scotsman” but he’s too experienced to take him lightly.
Anderson should prevail, but the dream run for Edhouse should see him pick up a good number of legs.
Luke Humphries -5.5 handicap vs Jermaine Wattimena
Jermaine Wattimena came from 5-1 down to boot former champion James Wade out of the European Championship, but he’s going to have to rely on more magic in the tank to get past the tournament favourite Luke Humphries.
“Cool Hand” Luke is playing unbeatable, clinical darts at the moment, and his averages of 102 and 106 are looking pretty impossible to beat.
Wattimena has only reached a major quarter-final once before and will feel out of his depth once Humphries gets into his stride.
Danny Noppert most 180s vs Ricardo Pietreczko
Ricardo Pietreczko is revelling in front of home fans this week, and enjoyed the most comprehensive of the second-round wins in demolishing Andrew Gilding 10-3.
Noppert enjoys this tournament – he’s reached either the quarter-finals or semi-finals in his last four visits now – and his scoring power should but a dent in the chances of the German.
Noppert threw eight maximums in his 10-6 win over Mike De Decker and a similar number will see him win the race against “Pikachu”.
