2024 World Grand Prix Darts – Day 3 Tips
It’s Day 3 in Leicester and the draw is starting to open up at the World Grand

We’re into the second round at the World Grand Prix, and with a Luke Littler-sized hole left in the draw bracket, eyes are lighting up at the end of the oche.
It’s a race to three sets in round two and world number one Luke Humphries will be eyeing an easier night than he endured on Monday night.
Let’s take a look at Wednesday’s tips, plus the top darts betting offers from the best betting sites.

Luke Humphries to beat Ricardo Pietreczko
Reigning champion and world number one Luke Humphries made a meal of his opening round fixture against the dangerous Stephen Bunting, losing the opening set 3-0 and being put well and truly on the back foot.
But the cream floated to the top over the distance with “Cool Hand” averaging a touch below 90 at the finish line and that minor scare should do him well as he comes up against the vocal Ricardo Pietreczko.
The German averaged 83 in beating Raymond van Barneveld and even forgot about the double in quirk during one leg, so we’re not expecting him to lay a glove on Humphries.
Under the pressured throw of Humphries, Pietreczko could wilt to a 3-0 loss.
Rob Cross vs Martin Schindler - Over 4.5 sets in the match
Rob Cross delivered one of the surprises of the opening round in defeating Luke Littler and ending an awful run at the World Grand Prix.
“Voltage” has blown hot and cold in 2024, so it’s unclear whether this win will immediately push him into the kind of form that will see him make a run for the title in Leicester.
Martin Schindler is very capable (averaging 90 in sweeping Brendan Dolan 2-0) and a real banana skin in the second round – a 3-2 either way looks very likely at a good price.
Nathan Aspinall to win match & most 180s (vs Ryan Joyce)
2022 runner-up Nathan Aspinall marked his big stage return with a 2-1 victory over Ryan Searle on Monday night, after coming through a last-leg epic.
The “Asp” has been on the shelf for a lot of this season with a persistent wrist injury, but averaging up at 93 he put on one of the best performances in the opening round.
With four 180s and 14 140s thrown Aspinall looks like he has his scoring boots on in Leicester, so a win coupled with the most maximums looks good value against Joyce who didn’t have to work very hard to get past Josh Rock.
