2024 World Grand Prix Darts – Quarter-Final Tips
We’ve reached the quarter-finals at the World Grand Prix

And then there were eight in Leicester.
After four days of non-stop tungsten drama, we’re down to a handful (and a half!) players who are vying for a chance to bag the World Grand Prix title.
Big names – including Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson and Daryl Gurney – fell on Thursday, so let’s see what’s left in the rubble.
Let’s take a look at Friday’s quarter-final tips, plus the top darts betting offers from the best betting sites.

Luke Humphries to beat Jonny Clayton 3-0
Without trying to burst the bubble of the “Ferret”, it’s hard to argue that he waltzed to victory in the second round. The scoreline may read 3-1, but with an 80 average he hit the joint-lowest alongside Daryl Gurney.
Humphries may have made hard-ish work of Ricardo Pietreczko in his 3-1 victory, but a healthy 92 average alongside a 45% checkout rate shows signs that the reigning champion is warming into the 2024 tournament nicely.
This is a mismatch on paper but the quirks of the double start may give Clayton the odd sniff.
Still, a 3-0 win for Humphries looks good at 7/4.
James Wade to beat Mike De Decker
Mike De Decker put on the performance of the night on Thursday smashing Gary Anderson 3-0 with a whopping average of 96.
The Belgian threw four 180s and with a checkout percentage of 60%, will have James Wade’s attention coming into Friday’s quarter-final.
Wade hasn’t enjoyed this tournament over the past decade but is in deep enough to smell a shot at the title as the top seeds continue to fall…
This could well be a coin toss and totally reliant on the double starts, but Wade has the pedigree and experience if he is dragged into the trenches.
Rob Cross to win, most 180s and highest checkout (Ryan Joyce)
Ryan Joyce showed a lot of heart to get past Nathan Aspinall 3-2 on Wednesday, but the emotional toll that this biggest win of his career may have taken on him could come to the surface against Rob Cross.
Cross is looking resolute and well-equipped to run deep in Leicester; it’s already the furthest that “Voltage” has reached at the World Grand Prix and his infamous D18 hitting looks on song this week.
If these two go toe-to-toe showing the form that they already have this week, the Cross should come out on top.
