Bermuda Championship 3-Ball Betting Tips - Day One

The PGA Tour swings over to Bermuda for the Bermuda Championship following recent layovers in Mexico and Japan.
Signalling the penultimate event of the FedEx Cup Fall Series, there are plenty of players on the bubble of the top 125, and they will be looking to rubber stamp their Tour cards for next season.
Austin Eckroat continued what has been a fine season to date by clinching his second career Tour title at the WWT Championship last weekend.
However, Eckroat is not included in this week’s field. I have already delivered a preview exploring all the key angles ahead of the Bermuda Championship.
The focus of this piece is to serve up value in terms of 3-ball betting tips, so see who I’m leaning towards during the first round, plus our best golf betting offers from the top online bookmakers.
Bermuda Championship 3-Ball Betting Tips - Day One
Check out my three selections for the opening round at the Port Royal course on Thursday - ideal for a 15/1 golf acca.
Ryan Moore to beat Doug Ghim & Will Gordon
The opening tee-off time of the day is a potentially intriguing group. Ryan Moore has been far from his best, but the five-time Tour winner is strong with the driver which bodes well for this course.
He can handle the wind, and on his previous visit to Bermuda, he finished T5.
In stark contrast, Doug Ghim missed his last two cuts at the Bermuda Championship, while Will Gordon has missed nine cuts from 14 appearances, and has yet to register a top-10 finish this term.
Oh, and in his last round at the WWT, Gordon shot 78 before being cut and that was alarming.
Moore seems like a sensible option here and to begin my 3-ball tips, I’m going with him to seize the initiative and win this group.
Maverick McNealy to beat Jhonattan Vegas & Camilo Villegas
Maverick McNealy arrives with some form under his belt with two top-20 finishes, including a T6 at the WWT Championship.
He looked assured last weekend and fired a 69 to finish on -17, and while he has been searching for more consistency at times, he could be a threat.
Camilo Villegas, meanwhile, triumphed at the Bermuda Championship 12 months ago, his first Tour title in nine years, so he has the credentials.
Villegas also has the joint-lowest 72-hole record (260), so that has to count for something.
Jhonattan Vegas’ stats are decent, especially in terms of SG: Off-the-Tee (eighth), but that hasn’t translated into results.
I backed McNealy in the outrights, so I’m not changing my mind now. I fancy McNealy to take the honours in this group.
Mackenzie Hughes to beat Seamus Power & Daniel Berger
Making his bow at the Bermuda Championship will be Mackenzie Hughes, and the Canadian could be ring rusty after five weeks off from competitive action.
Scrambling and putting well are required to be in contention, and these are two facets Hughes excels in.
Seamus Power may be a former champion, but with just one top-10 finish this term, that doesn’t fill me with confidence.
Daniel Berger is in a similar boat, and his SG: Putting sees him sit 167th in the rankings which could make things tricky for him this week.
To round off my 3-ball betting tips, I’m leaning into Hughes to prevail here.
