Bologna vs Juventus Free Bets, Betting Tips & Predictions
Juventus will head to Bologna in good spirits for their Serie A clash on Monday evening.
Fresh from their Coppa Italia success in midweek against Atalanta, Juventus ended their trophy drought, and it will have given Massimo Allegri some welcome respite given the swirling speculation over his future.
But Bologna have been one of the surprise packages of the season, and they have arguably overachieved given they are third in the table.
Having gone eight games unbeaten, the Rossoblu have been flying, and only goal difference separates them and Juventus in fourth.
Both sides appear to be destined for Champions League football, although Atalanta and Roma are on the fringes of things.
This appears to be the standout game in the penultimate round of Serie A fixtures, but how will Bologna fare? I have provided my customary tips to accompany this preview.
Juventus to creep over the line
Perhaps a record-extending 15th Coppa Italia title for Juventus will prove to be a turning point.
Although their league form has been something left to be desired, a domestic cup triumph is always worth cherishing.
Bologna have pulled up trees this term, and it’s no fluke they have the second-best defensive record this term (27 goals), with only runaway leaders Inter Milan shipping fewer (19).
Last weekend, Bologna came racing out of the traps on their trip to Napoli, sewing up the game within 12 minutes after goals from Dan Ndoye and Stefan Posch.
Although Bologna’s last two clashes have ended in draws, they haven’t beaten Juventus at home since 1998, and I don’t see that changing.
I think Juventus will come out on top, and for my first pick, I’m going with the Bianconeri to win and there to be two goals or more during the 90 minutes which carries a tasty price of 10/3 with William Hill.
Dusan Vlahovic to profit from Weston McKennie wizadry
Dusan Vlahovic has had a week to remember, and he put himself in an exclusive club after the Coppa Italia win.
The Serbian hitman became just the third Juve player to score in two editions of the Coppa Italia final after John Charles and Savino Bellini, and his strike was the quickest in a Coppa Italia final for the Old Lady.
On the league front, Vlahovic, who is the second-highest scorer in the division (16 and counting) appears to be unlikely to catch Lautaro Martinez in the Golden Boot race, with the Inter Milan forward eight clear of him.
Vlahovic is usually a handful, and he can expect plenty of service against Bologna.
Rather than go with my typical goalscorer prediction, I have mixed things up and gone with Vlahovic to net with an assist from Weston McKennie, who has contributed seven assists in the league this term.
If you like the sound of that, BetVictor has teased odds of 11/1 for you to savour.
