Bournemouth v Arsenal Match Preview
Arsenal will look to up the ante when they travel to face mid-table Bournemouth in the early Saturday evening kick-off.
The Gunners kept their unbeaten record intact when they mounted a comeback to see off Southampton 3-1 before the international break.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, have been out of sorts at times, and come into this game with just one win from their past four league outings.
As far as the Gunners are concerned, the injury table is mounting with Kai Havertz and Thomas Partey withdrawing from international duty. Bukayo Saka also pulled out of the England camp, but it is unknown whether he will be fit in time to face the Cherries.
This, of course, is a critical couple of weeks for the Gunners in their season as they have a Champions League group phase game against Shakhtar Donetsk as well as domestic commitments against Liverpool and Newcastle, we will know a lot more about how the North London outfit are shaping up.
Back to the here and now, and I’ve got a couple of Bournemouth v Arsenal betting tips for you to mull over.
Arsenal to roll on
Judging by the early signs, Arsenal appear primed to make another tilt at the title, and they are on Liverpool’s coattails.
Just a point separates table-toppers Liverpool and third-placed Arsenal, and they have shown their early mettle early on.
Seven games in and the Gunners were given a serious test against Leicester before running out comfortable winners, while Southampton nearly tore up the script.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, are looking to find a level of consistency, and they haven’t got any immediate concerns, albeit they are five points above the drop zone.
Apart from the Gunners’ nervy 3-2 win over Bournemouth at home last year, Mikel Arteta’s side have beaten the South Coast outfit on each of the past two occasions, and winning to nil in the process.
To begin my Bournemouth v Arsenal betting tips, I think there will be goals in this one. I’m going with Arsenal to win & BTTS which is available at a tasty 23/10 with Paddy Power.
Arsenal to show powers of recovery once again
While goals haven’t been a problem of late for the Gunners, netting 15, their ability to make things difficult for themselves is nothing new.
Leicester and Southampton were prime examples of this, but they found a way to get over the winning line.
Usually, I like to lean into the goalscorer lines, but the Gunners like to spread things around even if Havertz wants to be the focal point.
Instead, I’ve gone for value with the second of my picks. Despite revealing that Arsenal haven’t conceded against Bournemouth in their past two league outings, I fancy the Gunners to prevail after coming from behind. Should you wish to follow up on this special, William Hill has posted a tempting price of 6/1.
