Boxing Betting Tips: 8/1 Acca ft Nick Ball, Ronny Rios and Jack Rafferty

All eyes are on a Liverpool homecoming for Nick Ball this Saturday night inside the M&S Bank Arena, as the aptly named “Wrecking Ball” attempts to defend his WBA featherweight title against the experienced American Ronny Rios.
Ball hasn’t fought in front of a home crowd since 2020 or becoming a world champion in the 126lbs weight class, so expect an electric atmosphere on the banks of the river Mersey this weekend.
The co-main event is a cracking domestic at super-lightweight between two guys with a combined record of 36-0 – will somebody’s 0, go?
Let’s take a closer look at our latest boxing betting tips, plus the top boxing betting offers from the best betting sites.

Jack Rafferty v Henry Turner - Fight to go the distance
Somebody’s 0 has got to go on Saturday night… or are we on track for a draw in this British and Commonwealth super-lightweight title fight?
Sure, you can’t predict a draw in boxing, but this bout is as “pick-em” as they come this weekend, between the 23-0 Rafferty and 13-0 Turner.
Rafferty is probably the form guy in the fight – the “Demolition Man” has won five of his last six fights by stoppage and brings the Commonwealth title to the table having looked untroubled in his 23-fight career so far.
Turner is the younger man by five years, a southpaw and doesn’t have the stoppages on his record to suggest that KO power, but as they say, “timing beats power” and Turner’s timing has been key in racing to 13 wins.
We’re expecting a cracker here that goes the distance.
Nick Ball to beat Ronny Rios in Rounds 3-4
Back in June on one of the Saudi Arabia cards, Nick Ball achieved his career goal of becoming a world champion in a thrilling contest with American Ray Ford.
In a split decision victory in Riyadh, Ball moved to 20-0-1 as a pro and cemented his name amongst the best in the world at 126lbs.
Ball is a small, compact and aggressive fighter, who uses his low centre of gravity and high punch output to his maximum advantage – he relishes a contest in the pocket, and can make an argument as to being one of the best conditioned fighters in the sport that simply won’t be beaten by fatigue over a 12-round contest.
He’s registered 11 KOs in his 21 fights and challenger Ronny Rios will have a tough task in keeping Ball off his chest in this title defence.
Rios is a good, solid campaigner but hasn’t got the tools to get any success against a fighter like Ball who is in the prime of his career.
Three of Rios’ four losses have come via stoppage and we fancy Ball to get the job done early in Liverpool sending the home crowd wild.
